Trying to understand the offensive game plan for the Titans is mystifying. The obsession with feeding touches to basically Derrick Henry and inexperienced/flat out untalented players in uncreative and uninspiring ways works about as well as one might expect. The commitment to consistently going away from things that work is equally bewildering. Rough is a generous way to describe that start.
It is an NFL coaches thing. Mike McCarthy was the same way in Green Bay, which is why he is in Dallas now.
His 5th year for the Packers, 2011, they won the SuperBowl. He was an excellent QB coach. Then he started coaching like an idiot. The 2014 NFC Championship playoff game against Seattle is the example. The Packers led 16-0 at halftime (they kicked 2 FGs from the 1 yard line) and 19-7 late in the game. Green Bay ran the ball with Eddie Lacy 3 straight times and had to punt with three minutes remaining and ended up losing 28-22 in OT. Most fans felt that GB should have tried to pass the ball at least once to get a first down. But McCarthy chose to take the ball out of Aaron Rodgers' hands. It probably would have been Rodgers second SB win 2 weeks later.

McCarthy signed with the Packers. Later he had a 5 year extension, then 4 years, then 1 year in 2018, his 13th and last season with Green Bay. You can seen the trend.

Look, I studied sports medicine. Was in it for 10 years. I left not because I sucked but left for moral reasons. Volde would call me coward and I deserve it. I was taught signs of brain damage with a side note of 'You will never see this.'

I just saw it on replay of the Tua injury in the Dolphins game.

#prayersfor__________ is overplayed.

Not this time. My mind has gone to three places:

1) (hopeful) Tua's tendon's tore making his hand's look like he has serious brain damage.

2) (what I expect) Sweet Jesus, Dolphins you f***ing idiots. You rushed a player too quickly from a concussion and you might have ended the poor kid. Not ended his career but ended him.

EDIT: Glad Tua made it home, glad he's alive. But WTF were you thinking, Dolphins?????? and Volde and all the MDs who have a higher level of knowledge (and the college loans to match...) will come in an call me an idiot.

I hope I am overreacting but we very well could have seen the last of Tua's career last night. He should not have been playing, he should not have come back in the game Sunday and everyone involved from the Dolphin's medical staff should be fired.

And just like that, the Titans are back in the hunt.

Who had "what is the NFC East?" as " strongest division after 4 weeks" on their NFL Jeopardy game?

Vols are winning, they are blowing them out, and have an undefeated season so far.

I enjoy watching UT this season, they're so fast paced, it's fun to watch. Having said that, I'll believe they're beating Bama when it actually happens. Saban seems to really take away what you do best and if they can slow down UTs passing attack, and shorten the game, it will be tough for UT.

Titans back on top of the division and the loss to the Giants doesnt look nearly as bad as it did when it happened.

It’s easy to slow it down. Just start cramping every other play in the 1st quarter.

Let us pray for both TN teams in SEC action. (I have ZERO faith in either team, but I am a damned yankee who is not a CFB fan)

Are the MLS playoffs 1 and done or is it 2 games aggregate? Cuz if it's one and done Nashvilles season just ended...

Holy shit UT beat Bama
And what a game.... I hate both teams with the fire of 1000 suns but damn that had to be entertaining.

All the talk will be about the PI call but the Vols earned that win getting into FG range in 13 seconds...

The way he eyes that d lineman (47), nods his head, and the d line guy looks around with the… ‘wtf?’. This is an instant classic clip.
"I puke in your general direction." Movie quote taken a bit too far, maybe.

To say I'm still walking on air over this win is an understatement. We never beat Bama while I was a student. I know the strip was rocking.
