I am trying very hard to keep a level head about this but I really don't like it.
Pros:
$25 million is a lot of money for a WR and while the Titans aren't in "cap hell" that kind of money would have made things tight.
AJ has had some injury issues. Too early to call him injury prone, but definitely something to be concerned about.
With the run on WRs that happened last night, we grabbed the last of the 1st round talent and essentially replace AJ with AJ 2.0
Cons:
AJ Brown was the best WR the Titans have had in the last 20 years and arguably in franchise history.
AJ Brown is an elite WR in today's NFL.
When you have elite talent, you have to keep them.
Treylon Burks player comp by most "experts" is AJ Brown, but there is 0 guarantee that he is able to produce on the level that AJ did.
