Oatmeal, gonna start following that one.

My cat decided at 4am this morning that she had simply had enough of my insipid sleeping and went all Walker Texas Ranger on exposed foot. Rude awakening but it was immediately followed up with a solid cleaning and a heavy amount of purring. *******. Sweet adorable *******. God I love my pets.

I am nursing a fractured skull and have been for a few days. I went in to have my front tooth pulled (long story). It had been giving me trouble for years and after discussing the options my dentist and I decided that the best thing to do is remove the thing and then replace it by adding 1 more tooth to the bridge I have up front.

So I go in to get the tooth pulled and after about 20 minutes of trying different ways of yanking on the thing my dentist decided that it would be best to break the root and then remove the pieces. He gets to work and is sort of wrenching/pounding away when I feel/hear this thunk! that vibrates all the way up into my nose which starts bleeding heavily right away.

We tip my head back fill it with gauze and then my dentist gets the X Ray machine out and takes a few pictures. It seems that my tooth had a deformed root that had embedded itself into my skull sometime during my development and while he new there was some sort of anomaly my dentist figures he would get a better look at it once the tooth was removed. He went back to work not seeing the small fracture and finally got the tooth out of my head. Once he did my nose started bleeding like mad again and I mean like mad. I went through three sets of gauze before it slowed down. He put 3 membranes and a bone graff? into the massive hole in my head and stitched closed. As I was leaving my dentist said "ya know what? I want to get a picture of that thing one more time before you leave. I need to be sure that everything is right in there before I send you home".

He takes a few more xrays and then a few more after that and says "stay right there for a minute". I asked him if everything looked alright and he said "I think you have a small fracture above the area I was working on and I want be certain before we talk about next steps". I lay there for another 20 minutes and he comes back to tell me that he has spoken to a couple of doctor pals of his and they have seen the xrays and agree that there is a fracture that is about 3 cm's long. He then recommended that I head to the hospital and let them get a better look. I called a family member who is a GP and they told me to have the dentist send the info to them. He did they looked and said really there isn't much that they can do except keep an close eye on my and wait to see how things go for the next 72 hour.

Weird stuff but there you go. The 3rd time I have cracked my skull and this time I was sitting down when it happened. I have a great dentist and I mean a great one. If it sounds like what happened was their fault at all then I am explaining things wrong. This guy is the best I have had in my life so it was a no worries thing to me. He still insisted on not charging me for the work and paying for the addition to my bridge as well as any medical bills that may come up. I told him not to worry about it, I have incredible medical insurance so it isn't any worry to me. That said my mouth from my upper lip through my eyes are swollen and black and blue like I have had my ass kicked by Tyson. All in good fun I guess.

Where are those danged Kitties? My puppy won't leave my side which is cool and the cats treat her (the puppy) like it is one of their own litter so it is all good around here.

What a ****ing nightmare. Sounds like you got free dentist care for the rest of your life in the form of a lawsuit.

What an absolute quack. :ducks2

Hah, Disneyland raised their annual pass prices again. People are going bonkers in the OC.

I actually think it's great, I used to have passes until about 12 years ago when it got so damn crowded I couldn't breathe. I'd gladly shell out a couple hundred more bucks a year if attendance pulled back.

It all went downhill once they started doing payment plans.

The number of adult, unmarried people with no kids that I know that go to Disneyland on a regular basis boggles my mind. I thought it sucked as a kid. Can't imagine why I'd ever want to go now.

That will change once they put all the Star Wars **** in

I loved it as a kid. Now I can't stand it, basically. Last time I went was the first week when I met my now-fianceé. The only part I really liked was Main Street, which no one cares about anymore (except old people).

Ditto.

Expensive as ****, overcrowded, and straight boring. Rubbish. Cheapest ticket is $100. What a waste of money. Disney is the Nintendo of the movie and TV industry - living off a past reputation of boring products.

Funny you mention that.

Went there last year and I definitely noticed the unmarried adults. Though there were still tons of families there, and oddly some teenage groups. I was waiting in line for a ride and all I could really think about was this couple standing in front of me.

I did drive by Honda Center later that week and gave it a nasty look. Passed by Staples Center and was like "**** yeah!"

Can't same I blame you at all. I'd actually take Legoland over it. That place (lego land) seems to be more "magical" to me than Mickey Mouse, but that's probably because of the intense love I had for legos back in middle school.

That's an expensive date.

Selfies are everywhere not just baseball games.:help:

Selfie sticks have taken it to a new level. I had some guy whack me in the head the other day with one while attempting to take a perfect shot. I've never had a stronger desire to stick something up someone's ass in my life. Phone end first.

I have way too many unpleasant memories there...and one still lingers on... It also happens that I'm the first person (that they have records of) to ever get seasick on the Jungle Cruise...

What's worse is my date at the time is now my sister-in-law...

FTWD season finale...

Here's to hoping Season 2 is better. Show started off fairly strong but just tailed off.

Good news is TWD returns next Sunday night! :yo:
