Just saw the new Joker movie - heard all the bad reviews but wanted to see it myself and yeah... the movie is a load of hot garbage. They almost catfished people into thinking it wouldn't be a musical, the plot is weak and they somehow turned one of the best comic book villains into a pathetic and sad character. Terrible movie, save your money and watch something else folks. 2/10

If anyone is looking for a fun horror movie to watch this Halloween, Smile 2 is excellent. First movie had totally passed me by and my teenager son and I watched it on a whim last week when we saw the marketing for the sequel. The original was extremely good - maybe not the most original concept (it borrows pretty heavily from films like It Follows, for example) but well made and really good blend of practical effects and CGI.

Anyway, the sequel was excellent. Naomi Scott gives an absolute power house performance, and not just for a horror movie; I would legitimately watch her play this character and story arc if the horror aspect had been absent. She was so, so good. And this movie is so effectively creepy and scary.

And the casting of Ray Nicholson in the role he has is an inspired bit of nepo casting.

Would highly recommend.

I watched it for free and it still wasn't worth my time. They had so many decent routes to go but it ended up being a convoluted mess of a storyline. It feels like a scenario where the writers kept re-writing the script, ran out of time and ended up rushing a final script and added a bunch of broadway-like scenes because "it's art!"

Just been a disappointing decade so far for films.

Great to hear! I've been hemming and hawing about seeing it. Terrifier on the other hand is definitely not for me. Pretty demented to be honest.

Thinking about going to see it with a girl on a date. Good idea or not?

You might be rather kind rating it as high as a "2/10"

weather getting more extreme everywhere. Hope those people who got flooded can get it repaired. Have to plan for more of these severe rain storms. Drainage is vital if you live in the north shore with all of the hills and change in elevation.

Saw the worst horror movie ever on Jun 15, 2011. Still scares me to this day tbh
I *STILL* sometimes wake up in the middle of the night screaming: "Goddamn Snepsts.....of all the people to hand the puck over to in the slot in overtime of game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals....it had to be Mike freaking Bossy".

Im getting really tired of companies shrinking their product while charging the same or more. At what point does it stop or do we as consumers just flip the table?

Just noticed my tub of coffee has gone from 950g to 875g.

Think the market research has shown that people will pay a certain price point for products thus shrinkflation vs increase prices for the same original quantity. But yeah, they are also increasing prices on these smaller quantity items too so we are getting hit twice.

Like your coffee, dried pasta is down from 900g to 750g among other products. Juice used to be half a gallon at 1.89 L now down to 1.75 L.
