shrinkflation aside, what kind of coffee comes in a tub?
Probably the great majority of coffee consumed in North America. Folger's, Maxwell House, Nabob, etc. Plus damn near anything you drink at work unless you're a white collar worker and maybe even if you are.

Incidentally, I believe coffee is the 2nd-highest-valued traded commodity on earth after petroleum. It's like the Axis won WW2 and everyone's handed amphetamines on their way to work, except it's a tasty beverage so no one really notices how pervasive it is. I don't even remember people drinking 3-4 cups of coffee a day 10 years ago.

Someone posted the entire first harry potter movie on youtube. This is the original movie, just in case anyone who watches harry potter for the first time, Very high budget movie, but CGI is 20 years ago so you can imagine its a little bit rough

TAKE THIS FAT L YANKEES

LET'S GO DODGERS
F That. Yanks need to shove it up their ass in the Bronx. I hate LA. Judge feasts on the bad pitching. Shits his pants to a .199 avg in 248 career playoff AB's. The Dodgers dancing after everyone reaches base needs to be neutered. Should have drilled a couple of them in Game 2. The game lacks anger and passion these days like all sports. So vanilla and analytics are a detriment a this point.

had students come up to me and ask me why i watch sports if i don't gamble on it

they say the only sports watchers they know are "degenerates"

sports gambling has ruined sports it's messed up. those of you who said this is rotting the brains w all the advertising and how f***ed it is - yep. it's all these kids know are parlays and the sports are secondary but that's what they've grown up exposed to

The minds of today's youth are f***ed. Holy cow.

This started with televising poker.

I guarantee you if you put the same shit in front of current boomers or other older age groups when they were younger, the result wouldn’t be much different.

The youth aren’t the ones putting out that content either - they’re the ones who see all the older people in their lives addicted to parlays and it plastered bc of corporate greed & relationships that exist that promote gambling idk

I don’t remember as a child thinking anything other than “why would anyone watch this on tv”

Yankees have a pulse. Should have won Game 1. Aaron Boone should get the hook if they don't pull his out of the fire. Cashman as well. 15 years without a WS appearance. That's unacceptable with their resources. Soto will walk either way. He can suck 50 million per off the Angels. Great player but the Yanks need arms. Bats are easy enough to find. Boonie makes Joe Girardi look competent. I long for the days of Joe Torre. Analytics are useful in the game but they are slowly killing it. Where's the feel for dropping a bunt or a hit and run. It doesn't exist. So what worked for a century is no longer relevant because analytics. May as well pull the umps and starters on automatic pitch counts. Not the game I grew up playing and enjoying on tv.

I'm a miserable 54 year old asshole but I miss the piss and vinegar of pro sports from the past. The only sport played with much passion is the NFL because they are all lit up on roids. Too vanilla for Harold P Kneel

I'm taking about the mindset that people who watch sports are degenerates. Not taking about students who watch sports and gamble because yes, that's being shoved in their faces.

This title is amazing. Never thought I'd see the term "100 bones" in anything other than maybe a Reddit posting:

I so want that tangerine piece of shit to lose I don't even care about this game (as much as usual)

Ann Selzer's Iowa poll is reason to be a little less anxious going into tomorrow than I would have been otherwise, and I'm not much of a poll guy, but she's probably the best in America.

At this point it really depends on Pennsylvania ....

Sure, but Iowa is the most conservative of the rust belt states and the electorate breakdown of Iowa, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan is basically the same. If

Had Selzer had IA R+5 that would have been something to be excited about because it would have indicated a 5% shift to D among the electorate, but the fact that it's D+13 from last time is huge, there's no reason to think that the electorate breakdown of college educated white voters in MI, WI, and PA would be any different, and that other polls have probably been overcompensating.

IA being D+3 is like saying Texas or Florida is D+7, sure it can be an outlier but nobody understands Iowa like Ann Selzer.

Hey guys, usually this site is purely no politics. My personal opinion is that as long as everyone can remain civil, well as civil as can be given what's at stake, this can continue. I moved these posts from the GDT to here.

For everyone, let's keep USA election discussion to the OT thread. Please at least attempt to be respectful to each other.

Sorry for my "ilippe Myers - Tyler My" post but it would be an scary outcome for us in the Western World.

I’m glad that Phillipe Myers - Tyler Myers got moved here because even thinking about it is basically a hate crime.

can't see how your post can be considered "disrespectful" to anyone. It is very fair comment. After having lived in the US for 15 years, and putting our house up for sale the day after the tangerine turd got elected, and moving to Canada as soon as we could, believe me, the racism in the US is worse than anyone would believe just watching the politically correct news.
