We're living through some historic times. Holy lord.
Are you saying we're getting hot boxed by canada?
There's a poster on here named @Hunter Gathers
Maybe you two should meet?
In a "that escalated quickly" moment recently: I was told I'd have to have a couple of teeth pulled (a wisdom tooth & one other). Had some real bad pain on vacation, so I called the oral surgeon and asked if they could get me in for the consultation sooner (it was originally scheduled for Flag Day). They could, so I went a couple of Wednesdays ago on my day off from work.
The doc looks at things for maybe 45 seconds & says "We can take care of this today, no sweat." So here I am, down 20 IQ points. The recovery's not been bad at all. Minimal pain, no swelling to speak of. Did not miss any work. No dry socket. I'm incredibly lucky.
Wow. It's cool that it went so quickly since most often it is the opposite - need to see someone and the next available is half past 10 the day after energy death of the universe. Glad to hear it isn't painful. I had all of my wisdom teeth done at once and every time I sneezed, it was excruciating.
The last time I had a wisdom tooth pulled, I went to work 30 minutes later. It was annoying for a couple of days not being able to smoke and trying to keep food out of the hole, but it was fine.
Of course I only had 1/4 removed, because the rest would have involved surgery instead of just a shot and yank, and there was no need to do that
Same with the 1/4 and going back to work, then my boss told me to just go home Didn't get any gas but the dental school student (couldn't afford insurance, despite working for the second largest commercial office services company at the time, 'MURICA!) kept chiseling away with little luck. So they doubled me up on Novocaine and the supervising dentician (orthodontist? Whatever a tooth dr is) came in to fix the mistake. I looked like a stroke victim for the next 10 hours and was so paranoid about dry socket I didn't touch a straw for 6 months. The last time I had a wisdom tooth pulled, I went to work 30 minutes later. I had to have two chiseled out. When they gave me the gas and the IV, I recall taking a massive hit of it and the nurse saying "No, no, just breathe normally." I replied, "I paid for this, didn't I?"
Her and the anesthetist both laughed.
I found a dentist who has secretaries who do everything possible to get me in ASAP if I have an emergent case. They won my loyalty for life!Wow. This made me laugh. I love spicy food but have to tell the pure Thai hole in the wall eateries maio pet or I swear they try to kill me.
I went out for Indian curry with my team from work. This other guy (friend of a friend) tagged along and when me and my boss ordered Vindaloo he asked what it was, we answered honestly and then he goes “yeah I’ll try that”. The guy didn’t even like spicy food so it was so entertaining for everyone else to watch him sweating so much he looked like he’d die of dehydration.I used to spice test filipinas by giving them a slice of pickled jalapeños, most would gasp and say it's too hot. Tried it with a Thai, she ate my whole jar and asked for more.
I like spice, that nice burn to waken your taste buds is great, I hate when it over powers everything as that just makes it a core

Messi has done enough and over such a long time that he can be titled best of all time. I don't like him but he's done it all.I'm not much of a soccer fan, but Messi is a much better player than Beckham, no? Pele, on the other hand, may be slightly ahead of him, but is there a conversation to be had that Messi=Pele?
I have a few friends who watch soccer, and their general consensus seems to be the Messi>Rinaldo and that Messi is one of the best ever...if not the best, but maybe that's recency bias.
