I think maybe the plan should be to spend assets to get every goaltender in the league. And then watch them put up .893 %SV or go mentally unstable. Trade Jack for an elite goalie so we could watch his career unravel behind this team.

But I'm being way too sarcastic bc xGA tells us we are actually a very good defensive team, obviously.

I'm shocked that it hasn't already been the worst. I've been under the impression that it's been 30-32 since November all the way back around the time of the all star break.

Good thing Travis Peter Horachek Green is definitely DONE after this year. I don't see him going back in any kind of role. They might make him a scout or something, where he can work with the actual Peter Horachek, who I believe is still here in a scouting role.

Or they'll pay him to sit home.

I just hope it's not some surgery that requires 4-6 months of rehab, where if he were shut down NOW, he would miss no time next year and be back right in time for the start of camp at the latest.

If it's a 4-6 month thing or something like Dougie is going through, that pushes him to questionable for opening night.

If it is that and he's shut down right now, it's probably no problem. Another month? That would be something worth breathing fire at everybody over.
It seems, based on a few other NHL guys, shoulder stabilization was given a 5-6 month recovery.

Guys came back after 5 months but that was also to play immediately. Devils medical would probably say Hughes could play after 2 months.

I get you hate Green and goalies, but you'd probably be better off taking a hard look at the rest of the team that can't execute a pass.

I've been saying this all year or at least for a while.

Most of the models agree with those of you who think the team is playing horrible defensively in front of the goalies. It hasn't been a problem for years like most think or claim, but this year it's absolutely a thing. Our expected save percentages are on par with some of the worst teams in the league this year, which is why Ruff needed to go.

The goalies are still playing below expected here, but they're also not expected to play at a league average level if they're not playing above average themselves. I think the expected save percentages here are between .894% and .898% this year. League average is .904% I believe.

I thought maybe the second goal Kahkonen could have had, but it was a forgivable goal. Not terrible, but that was the only goal I thought was maybe stoppable.

I don't think the team really plays for Green either.

It's hard to say if the team just doesn't respect him or if it's just because he sucks.

We know for a fact he sucks, but we don't know for a fact that this team doesn't respect him or play for him, but it's very possible they don't.

They didn't play for Ruff at the very end and that's why he got canned.

Fitz should start his memoir. How I f***ed up a 112 point top 3 team in the nhl with these simple moves, or lack thereof.

Just say he got cancelled for it he’ll make more money from that then he would here. Only thing he’ll have going for him when he’s inevitably and rightfully fired.

I think at least some of the players know that this management is f***ing shitshow. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if this has all caused locker room issues.

Travis Green is clueless. That postgame interview. Deer in headlights. What a shit hire:
I remember when the people in Vancouver were shaking in their boots over Seattle potentially hiring him as their first head coach if they didn't extend him before his contract ran out.

By the people in Vancouver I mean the idiot that got fired WITH GREEN and doesn't work there anymore.

And they signed him, Seattle hired Hakstol and Green AND the guy who signed him were both gone in November.
