Rick Westhead is going to completely deinstitutionalize youth sports in Canada and when his work is done every coach and teacher will have a bio and a clean check mark approval that parents can see at any time and sports organizations will answer directly to parents and not to boards of approval and governing bodies - Westhead spearheads biggest change in Canadian youth sports.


Don’t forget he also broke the Sens were for sale so he does bring a mix of good and bad news

If your sports world is bigger then fast, track, work, hard and gambling lines then Yes it’s necessary, if your sports world is not bigger then that, then yes also necessary because the media is doing the work for representing parents and kids for safer sports.

I’m a Westhead fan but this is why people hate the media because they create morality based on their feelings and you then have to agree or disagree. The courts in our country are ugly I get that, but Aesthead shouldn’t be doing this he’s just basically be wearing a “I’m cheering for a WJC conviction” not because it’s justice, but because he’s advocating for one side when the courts will settle this.

It is his place as a journalist to say if the court procedure was fair, that’s his job but it’s not his job to frame the case as one side is bad and the other side is innocent - again, it’s why people hate media because they want to lead them believe instead of just taking in the facts, predetermined morality from Wedthead here, openly cheering for the case to go one way and calling out a lawyer when he should be doing that, L this is media bias 101
