As of this morning, based on point percentage, we would be picking 8th overall. If we can hover around that bottom 5 it would be awesome.

after the west coast trip we should be firmly in bottom 5. Picking like last year...in superstar prospect nowhere land. We had to be first OA in one of the worst years ever!
 
I wonder if Laine could be an option for a trade with Columbus? Who would be interested? He doesn't look great these days and is on a big salary and is moody but the talent is there. Let's go for Laine and Kent Johnson while we're at it.

I think there is a good chance we go AT LEAST .500 on that trip.

I haven't paid attention to him in a while, but this kid nearly averaged 40 goals a year in his first 4 seasons or something. How does it just go away like that in what should be his prime years. Is it his shape, injuries, laziness?? I don't get it.

Definitely.....I think he just wants to play in a hockey mad place place like Montreal and be the "guy". :)

I think he's only 25...lol. He's got at LEAST a decade of great hockey left.

They put him at center to start the season, when he was always a scoring winger before.
He got a concussion out of it (only played 9 games this year so far).

Finally, you add that yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of his father's death and Vincent's comment suggest Laine needed some space mentally.

Nice to see guys picking up the pace. Hopefully the Habs bottom out and get a top pick to add to what we've got.

I would probably go w Eiserman to be honest - if HuGo are in a position to do so they will 100% pick one of the two.
