This loss feels like it's the beginning of the end for the 23-24 season.
All part of the process. This year like last I look at the young guys and not so much the results. It'll be a long road but we're headed in the right direction. If you were expecting a 12- wild card spot it might sting but I'm hoping to aquire a pillar offensively in this year's draft. A Catton or Demidov is what this team needs.
Dach wouldn't change much to the structural issues the team is showing.Yup... Though if we hadn't lost Dach in game 2, we'd probably be sitting with 2-3 more wins and still in the thick of it.
As long as we keep competing this well and the young guys avoid major injury, the losses will keep being easy to endure.
But it would be nice to see CC snap out of his funk

And CC is back to Ducharme era at this point...
He was a total non-factor tonight...Couldn't disagree more.
And CC is in a scoring funk, yes, but nothing like his time with Ducharme (1g 29games, only 1x with >4 shots)
He's getting chances just not finishing... With DD he was a complete non-factor.
Yup. And he will be again at some point this year.He was a total non-factor tonight...
Of course he was. He is playing with Dvorak. If Monahan was his centre within a few games he would be out of his slump. He was a total non-factor tonight...
With Dach Habs would likely be close to a playoff spot in February. He would make up for some of the structural issues because Habs would have the puck more.Dach wouldn't change much to the structural issues the team is showing.

I love CC but no excuses. If he's the play driving winger we claim he his, excuses of playing with Dvorak don't hold any merit. He needs to make Dvorak better not vice versa.Of course he was. He is playing with Dvorak. If Monahan was his centre within a few games he would be out of his slump.

That's what goal scorers look like when they're slumping. He had chances. Had an almost sure goal actually that he wouldn't have missed last year.
Hopefully, we end up drafting Celebrini. We need a elite center. With out Dach , it is pretty much weak in the middle. Dvorak is in a decline and Evans is your average fourth line center. Suzuki is your perfect #2C in a elite/champion tier team. All part of the process. This year like last I look at the young guys and not so much the results. I still don’t think we come anywhere near top 5.
I AM team tank tho.
PROVE ME WRONG SOME MORE GALLY!

Anderson and Gallagher are legendary tank commanders
Kent is still waiting for the Josh Anderson offer that'll blow his socks off.3 years left for both of them too. Ugh.
