HF Habs: The official 2023-2024 tank thread

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. April 13 is a major day for us.

Habs face Sens.
Red Wings face Leafs.

If Detroit wins, they have 2 more games in the season to make the playoffs: both against us. The other teams fighting for playoffs are facing "tougher" teams.

I'm scared.

We will win all three games, no doubt in my mind. Detroit is choking hard and after Saturday night will likely be well out of the playoffs and have nothing to play for the final two games.

We are going to draft 8th pre lottery

Sens are going to lose their last 2 games against Boston and NYR so MTL better lose Saturday or we can kiss goodbye to #5.

nah habs will win all three games and end up getting the 2nd OA

on a serious note, habs have been quite lucky with draft positioning in the past

The race for 5th is as intense as the race for the last spot in the playoff....

A lost in regular with both NYI and Sens would have secure a 100% bottom 6 finish.

I wanted red wing to win so badly. They better show up in the last 2 games.

I’m more worried about Arizona. We’ll likely pas them. Ottawa is a maybe. Calgary won’t catch us. They have weak opponents with games in hand.

Habs are on a 8 games losing streak vs Sens and they are one of the few teams you can count on to show up against us, which is already more than the Isles provided tonight.

Detroit could be a problem, but we are not there yet.

It does hurt us. If we had lost in regular. it would have took us 2 w to climb above the Sens.

Now a single win put us above the Sens... Next Saturday is a must lost for us. I don't see us losing twice to Detroit. Not with how hard MSL is trying to grind useless win for us.

Worst part of the Wings games is the first one is in Detroit. At least they’d still be in the playoff picture in the first one and try regardless. They will be out by the second one and they won’t try because it’s not in front of their own fans. It’ll be like that Panthers game where the Habs scored 10 and Cole scored a hatty

They would never do it but no one including Nick should care about an iron man streak.
