HF Habs: The official 2023-2024 tank thread

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Nah, it requires us to finish 7th and dropping to 9th with the lottery.

Don't think it's ever happened but the odds of 7th dropping to 9th are 5.6% which is less then the 6.5% of getting 1st OA. That said there's a 36.5% chance of dropping one spot which is fairly significant chance.

I'm of the tank-ilk 100%, but it's gonna be hard telling that first line not to produce. This is what kind of happens when a team finally assembles a real 1st line for the first time in decades, they start to annoyingly win. So im just enjoying Slafs Hattrick instead of the much needed loss. Now back to business.

Clearly picking 5th (max 7) is mind numbingly important!!!!! At 5th we can easily select 1 of 3 prospects required to improve our team. At 7th (max 9) we will end up with the "faller" (from the tier II) or taking a gamble on one of the mid teens (tier III)

Keith and Seabrook were such a big part of their last few cups, I'd be surprised if they didn't go and get their top pairing D man. Korchinski isn't really that, he's more of a Matheson.

Well looks like the Red Wings have nothing to play for the last two games. I predict Marty will have the guys pretend it’s the Cup finals.

I think the Sharks could beat this Isles team in a 7 game series. How are they in the playoff picture? They are atrocious
