For the hockey fans who still do not understand and are like Vancouver is not a contender they are bad bla bla bla i'll explain it to you. Vancouver did not show up yesterday. Their mind is in the playoffs already and they thought it would be easy and they did not show up. It means nothing to nobody outside of us and Ottawa.
This time of year is straight up silly season

I hate when we face a team on a winning streak. I always feel like that's the Habs' specialty: to break the streak...

I swear, Arizona and Ottawa are doing EVERYTHING in their power to beat Montreal in the standings, and Montreal is fighting back just as hard. Like, WTF!!! Let those 2 welfare teams get ahead in a done season.
How is Ottawa doing everything in their power to beat Montreal? They lost 4 of their last 5 games while being shutout twice. The only win they got was in OT too. They also play TB, NYR and BOS, so don't expect them to be of anymore help either. Habs have to lose on their own; can't rely on Ottawa.

Definitely losing the game against Ottawa is important.

Losing to the Isles tonight and then the Sens would be huge.

Yep have to lose to the Sens- do not score a goal. If it gets to OT scoreless pull the goalie in OT to avoid the loser point. put it in your own net if you have to.

I don't see the Sens game as flip a coin. I see Tampa doing everything in their power to push Kucherov to an Art Ross Trophy.
That starts with scoring goals unfortunately for us.
I meant our game vs the sens but I agree i don't see the sens winning vs Tampa

Jamais deux sans trois…….

We picked Slaf ahead of Cooley
We picked Reinbacher ahead of Simashev

Might as well go 3…..:naughty:

Gimme Demidov, Lindstrom or Iginla in that order (honestly any of them would make me happy) and I’ll never ask the Coyotes for another favour again lol

We already have 3. We drafted Kotkaniemi ahead of Hayton.

It's all ok guys. The draft lottery day can change everything. Imagine having the best odds against Ottawa or Arizona, but still Ottawa or Arizona who win the 1st.

Just finish behind Calgary, it's perfect. Because they are the team who can easily take Tij Iginla. Habs finish with Tij Iginla? Would be a massive win for the rebuild. That's a lot of great options anyway in top 8!

Hoping the NYR and Boston have nothing left to play for and rest some key players as their games against the Sens are the last game of the season for each team...throwback to our 10-2 thrashing of the Panthers to wrap up last season.

What the actual f*** I thought the Islanders wanted to make the playoffs f***ing losers
The silver lining is that Roy is probably still upset that he lost to the Habs right after getting hired. Knowing hockey players, they probably have a bet going for the GWG tonight.

i gotta say...while there was a bit of what your saying happening in the 2nd period yesterday... the first and the 3rd were completely dominated by Vancouver... they definitely showed up for most of the game... their goalie was their weakness yesterday. And, it was actually Arizona goalie who saved the yotes... he did an amazing job against multiple break aways, short handed chances, late powerplays and penalty shots..

Arizona kept fighting but were clearly out matched... but goaltending saved them

at least that was my take away from yesterday's game

Desired results for tonight:

- MTL regulation loss

- OTT win vs. TBL:
OTT win + MTL reg. loss = OTT move 2 pts ahead.

*I have no faith in OTT. So MTL regulation loss is really what is required to stay in the Bottom-5.*

I totally agree with having no faith in Ottawas ability to beat Tampa.. but then again I had 0 faith in Arizona beating Vancouver lol

so as I did yesterday... I'm just gonna dare to dream!

hopefully Tampa shows up unprepared and over confident and beats themselves lol

Varlarmov tonight so we'll win.
nooooooooo!!!!

... ugh... your probably right though... f***. lol
