Weren’t we supposed to get 0 points against TB , FLA, NSH and BOS?
5 of 8 points.
That’s why I ignore strength of schedule.

lol the CBJ vs SENS games so shloppy.
This is the only way either of them can get points is when they play each other.
Shootout coming up.

Well, Montreal got a surprising point out of the Bruins, but the good news is both Arizona & Ottawa picked up 2 pts. Senators just beat the Blue Jackets in a shootout.

Arizona is 2 pts back, albeit Montreal has a game in hand.

Ottawa is 3 pts back with 2 games in hand.

It also really looks like Montreal won't finish higher than they already are: 7th. Pens & Calgary are both 6 pts up for places 8 & 9.

Montreal now heads out on a tough 5 game road trip: Calgary (not so tough), Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle (also not too tough) and Colorado.

Senators are @ NYI at 12:30 pm on Saturday.
Arizona hosts NJD at 5 pm Saturday.

One thing I have to add, Joel Armia looked fantastic at times tonight and has been having his best / most consistent season so far.

Really happy to see that from him.

Gotta break the record for most useless Overtime point! Already 11 OT games played this season? What the record for Ot in a single season?
If you were paying attention Boston now have 24 OT games this season
The thing is I've always said they aren't loser points if you are in a playoff position they have like 15 of them.

Thats a really hard calendar for the Habs till the end of the season, still a chance to end up bottom 5.
The problem is we play better against better opposition for whatever reason.
Looking at schedules this time of year is an exercise in futility IMO.
We will win some we shouldn't and lose some we should.
Theoretically we should end up bottom 5...
but then again theoretically there was no way in hell Florida should have made the postseason last year.

One thing I have to add, Joel Armia looked fantastic at times tonight and has been having his best / most consistent season so far.

Really happy to see that from him.
People are all set to dump him next year.
If he plays this way all season I'd consider a new contract at a reasonable Cap Hit and Term.
I'm not in favor of moving things that aren't broken.
