How is it possible that Ottawa could end up with less points than the Habs?

A no system team with a no system coach? Well they changed the coach, so I'm not sure. How is it possible that Ottawa could end up with less points than the Habs?

They're kinda playing well against the Cup champs. That or Vegas doesn't really care.Need Cbj to hold onto a lead for once
That's before our valiant squad of dickweeds collects points off the back of Armia, Gallagher and Anderson.CBJ will be 4 points behind us if they can hold on vs Vegas.
Man all of a sudden #4 is a real possibility. We need to trade Savard lol I want demidov so bad
As long as we lose, Wednesdays game between Anaheim and Ottawa could be interesting. Ottawa wins and they are 1 pt back with 2 games in hand.CBJ win! 4 pts back now.
Blue Jackets are @ Pittsburgh tomorrow in a back-to-back.
Coyotes host Blackhawks tomorrow.
I guess we'll see what happens in Montréal's game tomorrow. If we lose and Arizona wins, Coyotes pass us. Columbus could be within 2 pts.
Remember when we used to root for teams to fall in the standings when we had their 4th roung pick?Desired results for tonight:
- MTL regulation loss vs. NSH
(More immediate results needed):
- ARI win vs. CHI: ARI win + MTL reg. loss = ARI moves 1 pt ahead.
- CBJ win vs. PIT: CBJ win + MTL reg. loss = CBJ moves 2 pts behind. If PIT loses in OT/SO = PIT moves 7 pts ahead.
(Less immediate results needed):
- NJD win vs. FLA: NJD win + MTL reg. loss = NJD moves 10 pts ahead.
- SEA win vs. WPG: SEA win + MTL loss = SEA moves 11 pts ahead.
- NYI OT/SO win vs. STL: NYI win + MTL loss = NYI moves 12 pts ahead with 1 game in hand. STL OT/SO loss = STL moves 12 pts ahead.
*MTL could end the night in 27th place (Bottom-6) if they lose and ARI wins. Even if MTL loses in OT/SO and get a loser point, if ARI wins, both teams will be tied in pts, but ARI have the tie-breaker with more RWs (20 vs. 14). CBJ also with a chance to get even closer to MTL.*

I said it early on this season don't be surprised if Ottawa out tanks us they are well practiced at the art.A no system team with a no system coach? Well they changed the coach, so I'm not sure.
The soup they made on paper is just not good?
f*** I hate this scoreboard watching. I came into this season thinking we were done with it at least until TDL.CBJ win! 4 pts back now.

Wait for next year… next year is the year in no man’s land territory. We won’t know what we want for the whole damn year and everyone will be pissed for the whole season. It will absolutely suck.f*** I hate this scoreboard watching. I came into this season thinking we were done with it at least until TDL.
I love this time of the year. Everybody breaks out their high school probability math skills.

But at some point, the team will need to progress and get to that no man's land spot before being a playoff team and eventually (and hopefully) be a cup contender. It won't be from the bottom of the standings to suddenly playoffs. Okay, it could potentially happen, but we shouldn't expect that.
