I feel a little bad for Dach when he comes back. Some of our fans are putting giant expectations on him compared to what he’s actually accomplished so far and that’s never good for any player that plays here as it comes with a lot of unneeded pressure.Or even just a young c that can be dominant and slow down the game .
Damn acl ! Im convinced we would be a playoff team with dach ! Though I would agree with the one that will say another top pick is better for the long term
He has an nhl contract because of hype and projected future, not bad for a guy with busted wrists and knees nobody wanted anymore. The trade-off is not bad, I’d take it.I feel a little bad for Dach when he comes back. The elite ones cherish the pressure .I feel a little bad for Dach when he comes back. Some of our fans are putting giant expectations on him compared to what he’s actually accomplished so far and that’s never good for any player that plays here as it comes with a lot of unneeded pressure.
I think everybody would just be happy if dach could play a full season or the majority of it, whether that be 40-50-60 points is the least of our worries with himThe elite ones cherish the pressure .
I have been a fan of his from when we traded for him and absolutely no doubt how good he will become .
That said , I won’t panic if he don’t come out flying after missing a full year
A full season and 45 points would be underwhelming. That's a low bar to setI think everybody would just be happy if dach could play a full season or the majority of it, whether that be 40-50-60 points is the least of our worries with him
You never know, they March schedule isn't that bad. 3x Pittsburgh, Ottawa, San Jose, Arizona, Nashville.. They have a shot at catching us for sure, but that's also assuming we stop getting points here and thereCan Columbus keep it up and be a darkhorse for passing Montreal? These OT points are total killers. Arizona could be a point ahead of us, Ottawa one away with two games in hand, and Columbus 4 points away with one game in hand.
You seem reasonable, but lots of fan here are saying he is our real number one center in front of Nick... I just want him to play a full season, it was really a bummer when he went out. If he can become a 55-60pts who play 60games+ per season, I'll be more than happy. He has an nhl contract because of hype and projected future, not bad for a guy with busted wrists and knees nobody wanted anymore. The trade-off is not bad, I’d take it.
He needs to rock it next year if he wants to be negotiating much of a raise though.
Yeah for sure; Suzuki has had a few years ahead of Dach to get really good too; not a fair comparison. I have Suzuki as the superior player by a fair margin nonetheless, but still. You seem reasonable, but lots of fan here are saying he is our real number one center in front of Nick... Last stretch of the season with 21 games. This is where the pretenders get separated from the bottom feeders.
Tankers Unite!
How is it possible that Ottawa could end up with less points than the Habs?
All offense. No defense. And the D core is also all offense. And the goaltending is atrocious. It makes absolutely no sense.
Look at their forward core. Tkachuk, Giroux, Batherson, Tarasenko, Norris, Stutzle, to which you add excellent players like Greig and Pinto. Something is rotten there.
As a team they have the 2nd most giveaways per 60 minutes, 3rd worse GA per game, and 2nd worse PK (Worse then even us).How is it possible that Ottawa could end up with less points than the Habs?
They were obsessed trying to be like the Leafs, who have won nothing with even better players lmaoIt makes absolutely no sense.

I mean on paper, Sanderson/Chychrun/Chabot/Zub seems like a decent top 4. Not good enough for a cup contender, but it should be for the playoffs. Also it seems like every goalie that leaves the Sens organization plays very well elsewhere so I don't think it's a goalie problem. They were obsessed trying to be like the Leafs, who have won nothing with even better players lmao
It's almost like... you need a G and Solid D too.. who knew

+ Carey PriceGoalie development problem,
And too many offensive D problem
What took us to the cup was suzuki+caufield + PRICE + 4 giant D + more Carey Price
Last year, their goalie was Cam Talbot who's playing very well this year. The year before, Gustavsson who was lights out last year. Before that, Joey Daccord who's excellent this year. Seems to happen often where they get "unlucky" with their lack of quality goaltending when these guys have done very well recently.Goalie development problem,
