Montreal Leads the league in 1 goal losses at 18. We also 27th in offense. Not hard to tell a goal scorer would do wonders for us
Or even just a young c that can be dominant and slow down the game .
Damn acl ! Im convinced we would be a playoff team with dach ! Though I would agree with the one that will say another top pick is better for the long term

Sabres are worthless garbage. And Tage Thompson maybe pound for pound the weakest player in the NHL.

Yeah, it's 4-2 Jets now. Winnipeg got it done in the 3rd.

Jets take over the Central Division lead again, as Dallas had jumped them. They move into 4th OA in NHL only 3 pts out of #1. They could win the President's Trophy.

Sabres stay 6 pts up on Montreal. Habs have a game in hand.

Minnesota is 2 minutes away from going 8 pts up on Montreal.

I wonder if it has a mistake to trade Monahan to Winnipeg. No others team offered a first overall pick to Montreal? With the way he is playing, He would had far more in March 08 for him.

Pittsburgh chance of making the playoff are now close to 15%.

He's definitely fitting in well in Winnipeg. I think Montreal traded him at the right time, but you have to think other teams that need centers (Colorado, Carolina, etc) are probably kicking themselves right now. It wasn't that high of a price to pay.

No there was no mistake. They could not take a chance he gets hurt before the deadline. And that more forwards become available and the offers drop. No one else offered a 1st and so far no one is offering a 1st for anything without the receiver taking cap back.

8 goals in only 12 games vs 13g in 49GP. He is scoring in a insane pace. Winnipeg has a high chance to win the president trophies.

He's definitely drawing interest from teams this summer after getting none last summer. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 2 x $4.5m. I don't see a long term contract. Maybe 3 years max, but at a lower rate.
I think 2x4.5 is a no brainer, especially with the cap rising. I think he will get a good bit more and longer even though I wouldn't give that to him.
