Arizona ends their 14 game losing streak with a 5-3 win over Ottawa.

Ottawa is now slumping. They're on a 3 game losing streak, and are 2-4-0 in last 6.

Ottawa is still 2 pts back of Montreal, and are down to only 2 games in hand. Senators are @ Philadelphia tomorrow then go on a 3 game western swing through Anaheim, LAK & SJS. Hopefully, they win 2 out of 3 of those games.

Arizona is also 2 pts back of Montreal with no games in hand.

Will be interesting to see which amoung ourselves and our neighbors (Columbus, Ottawa, Arizona) will lose the most pieces at the TDL.

Thankfully Primeau tomorrow.
Primeau needs a lot of work.

We’d be 5th right now if we started Allen vs Yotes 😭😭😭 lol
Marty not going to throw games though. What's the sense? Unless Habs go on great heater, be drafting 6-7th. Teams under that are real bad. Wheels would have to fall off for us to get worse than them.

You guys have your sights set too low, you gotta dream big.

The optimistic tankers haven't even given up on Anaheim yet. They beat the Devils last night and are now only 8 points back, no games in hand. They currently have the tiebreaker with 16 regular time wins to our 14.

Believe y'all.

I was just gonna say that!!! Great minds think alike.

Anaheim is 8 pts back with still plenty of games left to be played. They play Chicago twice till the end of the season.

I like that he's starting Primeau versus Tampa.

I think we take the Sens spot and finish 27th.

Only way to finish lower than that is if Suzuki gets injured. Then 30th is not impossible lol.

Our remaining schedule is so hard that tankathon.com lists TB as one of our top 6 remaining EASIEST opponents.
That's because Tampa sucks. They lost Sergachev and are 5-4-1 in their last 10.

It wouldn't surprise me if they miss the playoffs.

That is pretty cool, though Tampa have sucked lately. They're in real danger of missing the playoffs.

That's a team whose future 1st we want to get.

Too bad they don't own their own first round pick until 2026. They'd be wise to hold onto that one.

Rumours are Brisebois is looking to deal it.

We've already acquired extra 1sts in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, let's make it a 5th year in a row. Good way to build in a rebuild.

At this point maybe yes. But dealing those 1st round picks was absolutely the right calls. That helped them win Cups.

Yes, but they had stronger teams those years. This year it's a bit of different situation. It doesn't help that Sergachev may not play again this season.

Howard or Gauthier would be the target probably for Hughes with the Lightning but they should just retool. They ain’t winning jack.

They are trending down but saying they are going to be near the bottom with guys like Kutcherov, Point and Hedman is ridiculous
They don't have much else and very few prospects. Stamkos will be done by then. Hedman will be 36 and could be fading. Vasilevsky will need to still be at the top of his game or they will be closer to the bottom 10 than top 10.
