With our center depth we're gonna get crushed by a lot the remaining teams we play. I hope we give Primeau and Allen a good number of games.
They gonna play for sure one game each during this trip. That's the plan !

These guys are all vets and have fairly solid track records.. most teams know what type of player each is, and how valuable they become during the playoff grind.
Nobody is looking at this year stats and thinking any of the are done, except Gally.
Armia: hell of a playoff asset 3rd liner (like Eller)
Savard: easy 1st from Tampa
Anderson: gladly take on my team as a 3rd liner with insurance for the top 6 wing.
Allen: gladly would have preferred him to a Tokarski when we made our run. He's a perfect vet backup and possible starter for insurance. Only diff is, he's having a down year so we wont get a first. But hed be fine on any team looking for backup.

Youre inderestimating how valuable these guys are to complete a Cup run.. they are the exact tool teams need, which is what Toronto lacks and it shows.
You cant be serious with ur post… Hughes has been trying to trade Allen all year nobody wants him because he demands a high salary for this year and next and not good enough for it at 50% sure for maybe a 3rd

You also dont think Armia and Anderson would of been long gone if a team was interested in them? what exactly is Anderson doing to be paid 5.5mill for multiple seasons cap is the most important thing in this league and you think someone would wanna use 5.5 on a useless Josh? Armia spent some time in the AHL because of how bad he was yes since then he stepped it up abit but hes still ass and shows up 1 game outta 5 Savard i agree that he would be of interest but idk about guaranteed 1st that wont happen unless we retain 50%

I easily give away Armia,Allen and Anderson for free just to get rid of those awful contracts

I remember when a poster who will not be named said there was no difference between having Montembault or Allen in nets before the game. Yes there is.

Anyways, all that to say is Lindstrom and Demidov are still a possibility, but goddamn do some of these team suck balls.

The solution came to me while I was asleep. He was dressed as the tooth fairy for some reason :dunno:

Not a great night for the tank last night. The teams immediately around MTL all lost in regulation while MTL also won. The good news? Habs have the toughest schedule from now to the end of the year.

They have:

CAR x 2
FLA x 2
TBL x 2
TOR x 2
PHI x 2
DET x 2
NYR
NYI
BOS
NSH

They also have a 5-game Western swing playing CGY, EDM, VAN, SEA & COL during that road trip. And they play OTT and CBJ once each. So hoping by them, they will already be enough ahead that it won't matter. They won't lose them all, but chances are they lose more than they win.

Only two games tonight, Desired results:

- CBJ win vs. NYR: CBJ win moves them 4 pts behind with 1 game in hand.
- STL win vs. EDM: STL win moves them 10 pts ahead.

A few days ago, Columbus beat Rangers. It will be tough to repeat the exploit, but we can hope they will.

Montembeault has been screwing us in the tank two years running.
You're severely underestimating how awful the other teams have been for the past 2 years. For instance, I don't know how you could look at last year's Hawks roster and think "Yup Habs would have been worse if not for Monty". Yes Monty got us wins, but we still drafted ahead of many teams that people here were convinced would be worse than us.

The real reason why the "tank got screwed" was because of how dominant Suzuki/CC/Dach were in the first half of the season. Not sure why the tank ruiner is only evaluated down the stretch of the 2nd half of the season as opposed to the whole season.

Damn you guys are really losing your minds when we got completely dominated by a team without their best player and lost 13 in a row. We suck, we will draft very high, and there is no set range we need to be in (based on realistic rankings) for this draft like last year.
Exactly lol
Last year, HAD to be top4
This year?
Just gotta be top10 baby

It's actually going fine lol

Disappointing. We're carrying three goalies, and yet we decide to play the tank-killer two games in a row at this critical point in the season.
I don’t get it. You don’t play Montembault when the team could hypothetically make the playoffs and wait until it’s to far out of reach when we’re looking to tank to finally give him a chance as a starter. My guess is the guys sick of losing got the attention they wanted out of management. But they should’ve been told the reality of the situation. Play out the rest of the season and shut up.

the Florida game is going to be rough, they better play Pez or the injuries could mount up, making the tank more formidable.

The other thing too is the last two years we've made a big deal about being in position to take one of the "big five" (Slafkovsky/Wright/Cooley/Nemec/Jiricek, or Bedard/Carlsson/Fantilli/Michkov/Smith) and then in back to back years one of the "big five" went 6th and 8th.

Realistically I think it's a moot point anyway as we likely end up in 28th or 29th and take whichever of Lindstrom or Demidov drops to us. We're only 3P up on Arizona who has a game in hand, and still just 6P up on Columbus who have 2 games in hand and there's 23-25 games remaining for most teams. 27th (Ottawa passes us, Columbus & Arizona stay behind) is the highest slot I could possibly see us finishing and I still think there's a very good chance we'd end up with Demidov after Celebrini and then Lindstrom and three defencemen go ahead of our 6OA pick.

I've got a great feeling this time, yup

We'll have to forget about it. There is no out-tanking Arizona and even Ottawa and Buffalo can find ways to suck hard.

Next tier is Catton vs Eiserman vs Iginla
