Only one game affects Montreal. Pittsburgh at Minnesota. Pittsburgh is only 3 pts up on Montreal, but has 3 games in hand. We need Minnesota to get the 2 pts here. They're one point back of Montreal, and Habs will hold a game in hand after tonight.

Edmonton will get within 4 points of the Jets with 2 games in hand with a win over Anaheim. That's definitely doable. And, NYR'S will move 4 pts up on the Jets with Winnipeg holding 2 games in hand with a win over Chicago. Also really doable.

Those are the only 3 games.

Rangers actually needed OT to beat the Hawks. But, they hold on for the 4-3 win. That moves them 4 pts up on Jets, who hold 2 games in hand.

Oilers are currently losing 1-0 to freaking Anaheim midway through 2nd period.

Last season...from January until April...only Suzuki was healthy and we still not lost enough in part because of Montambault's good games.

So I am worry this year with Suzuki, Slaf , Caufield, Matheson, Savard, and now Newhook healthy.

Everybody are dreaming about a top 5-7 pick but I am scared to draft out of the Top 10

Because they do it by win percentage then NHL tie breaker. By that method, Minnesota, Montreal & Arizona are all at .500, and Montreal wins the tie breaker against no one putting them 7th behind Arizona & Minnesota.

Points wise though, Arizona has 49 in 49, Montreal 50 in 50, Minnesota 51 in 51. I'm using the standings. If Montreal gets 2 pts tonight, they're one point up on Minnesota with same games played.

If that's the case then that means we have a bonafide 1st line in the NHL and picking top 10 isn't an absolute requirement anymore.

Nah they were not that good to begin. The conditional 3rd on winning the cup is really laughable.
