Would you move Wheeler or Ladd? (preferably wheeler)

I never move Ladd. Well, maybe not never. But he's one of the last guys I would look to move. Don't see the point. He's not the problem. Having a 6'5 winger playing like a marshmallow can be a problem at times though....

No, not really. Just point out the obvious more then anything. As you can see to your left, picking a fight would NOT be in my best interest.

It's only obvious to you because it's your opinion, just like me having mine. Nuff said.

It was amazing how oblivious the defense was tonight. Is it too much to ask to keep your head on a swivel and ya know... cover the open guy beside you?

I've never been this frustrated and pissed off after a game.

I'd trade Wheeler. He really doesn't add anything irreplaceable.

I liked his game in the Canucks game. We've been looking for a top six player, but Gillis doesn't want a rental. He's got a contract for six years iirc?

I just don't know I'd move back. Booth is actually playing super well right now. Burrows is injured, but he probably could have had 10-15 goals. Suuuuuper snakebitten. (thinking cap wise to cover that contract)

I THINK it's time to let go of Noel. Lost to the Oilers - not a good sign.

This game was pretty much completely on the D. Pavs had no chance on at least 5 of those goals, and they were all the result of bad turnovers and poor defensive coverage.

Sad things I seen tonight:

1. Hawarchuk on a Jets 2. 0 jersey.

2. Selanne on a Jets 2. 0 jersey.

3. Hawarchuk on a Jets 90's logo jersey.

I was impressed by the number of Jets jerseys I saw, but I think I saw both your #1 and #2 as well. Plus in general I saw a large number of really obvious knockoff Jets jerseys.

And sadly, despite a rousing "True North!", Jets fans were pretty quiet despite our numbers. However I think tha was in response to how funeral-like the Oilers fans were (until late in the third, when it was 5-2).

Obviously a disappointing result, and bad play in general. But I will say... for me, the honeymoon is not over. For the third time since 1996, I got to see the Winnipeg Jets play. It's still 3 more times than I ever thought I'd see back in the late 90s.

You're right. Things that are obvious to me are not always obvious to others. I do tend to notice things that others might have missed. :) If only I knew how to explain those things, would life seem so simpler. :(

So, read though the whole thread. Didn't see it answered so I'll ask it here:

Was there any reason given as to why Montoya did not get the start?

I don't blame Pavelec for all the 6 goals & there is no way he should have played in the back to back games.

This game reminded me of the Washington losses from last year & it was disgusting to watch in my opinion.

Even with a better goaltender, we still would have lost by at least 4-2 IMHO.

Only thing I can think is Noel thought he could get away with one since we have some time off now. But otherwise, don't think it was ever said.

Well, feel free to "miss" anything else I comment on and that will save us these kinds of discussions in the future

My only observation: how in the hell would that bacon making contraption not leave a huge mess in your microwave?

Edit: I also blame that Oilers fan who threw his jersey on the ice on the weekend.

I just try to help people understand things at a different level/perspective. ;)

Something that I don't need is "perspective" that I don't agree with. Surely you can understand that. Lord knows how you have dealt with other people's "perspective" you didn't agree with ;)

So we had a bad game, let the Oilers fans have some fun.....really they don't get a chance to enjoy life so get in the festive spirit !! At the end of the day they will still be Oilers when they wake up tomorrow with k Lowe as the mastermind and Katz as the owner. Legitimate Pity is a much more cruel approach if you want to salvage some pride tonight kids :sarcasm:

I just feel sorry for Yukon Joe, Hero of Canton, Holden and the others who had to endure seeing the B2B Jets :help:

Maybe Button was right after the Buffalo game. This is what the Jets ARE. When they're fatigued the real Jets show up. What we see in the close games when well rested is the fake Jets. They are a Jekyl and Hyde team.

I know you are looking to pick a fight with anything I say, but it's Christmas and I'm not interested :)

I'm not who your talking about but I don't think anyone wants to fight we are all for the same team but let's face it goaltending is horrific and not saying he would have been better but should have started Montoya just because it was back to back.Lets face it I no Noel seems to think he has his number 1 but I'm sorry to say he doesn't.New goaltender and coach first things to fix and fast not to make the playoffs but at least to show others we are not the worst team in the league and that we will make changes to do better for our future.I don't think Pavs will ever be a top goalie I mean how many years does it take.

I have one, and will answer.

It does leave the inside of your microwave covered in grease. Covering it with a paper towel will reduce it a bit, but it's still a mess.

Also, that thing is a nightmare to clean unless you own a dishwasher. Those grooves! You will never get the grease completely off/out it.

It does an okay job of actually making bacon. The only big advantage though, is the speed. IMHO the best way to make bacon is on a sheet in a conventional oven, but it takes time.
