The original “Passionate Kisses” is so much better than MCC’s Grammy winner. At least Lucinda still owns the song. One of far fewer blessings in her life than she deserves.

She and Gurf performing together had an interesting chemistry. I think they are both very intensely connected to songs and the feel of music and the differences in their outward personalities becomes far less obvious.

Thanks for posting. I rarely consciously pick Lucinda to listen to - I’m definitely more of a rock guy - but I’m always glad when I do hear her.

Edit: not that Lucinda doesn’t “rock,” I just think of her as more of a folk/countryish singer-songwriter, even with a full electric band.

Miss Jimmy on his SG

Jimmy was a super well respected and profuse studio guy who played on a bunch of different albulms of the time. I'm sure it must have been an amazing experience for him to have played with so many different musicians of the 60's and share that studio and creative experience.

08SeaBass08 is suspect as well.

Who won the penant in 1936?

Only honest, true blue, red-blooded Americans know the answer, Franz,

Sadly, it was the shitheads from the Bronx over their counterparts directly across the Harlem River.

Crazy, but I've never seen "Stalag 17." More than a few episodes of "Hogan's Heroes," though.

Absolutely amazing what Jimmy McCulloch accomplished by the age of 26, when he died. He played his first pro gig at eleven years old, for Pete's sake.

Me too. I grew up watching that show. These days, the PC Police would have a field day.

Cancelled. Not merely the show, but everyone and his brother involved (or not) with the show.

"No soup for you!"

You must admit it is an odd name.

Reminds of a Happy Days episode, when Ritchie refers to his pal Potsey Webber in a conversation with a stranger.

"What's a Potsie Weber?"
Sounds like the name of a villain in a bad 50s sci-fi movie

Good old Geroge.

Anybody watch “George and Tammy” on Showtime? I thought it was excellent. Both Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon did their own singing, and they did an excellent job, considering the shoes they had to fill….

Thanks for the heads up. Yet another I will have to check. Guessing they covered the lawn mower to the bar incident, among others.

George was not fond of the possum moniker. I wouldn't like it either. Not terribly flattering,
