Season 5 of Yellowstone had a lot of "filler" episodes and scenes. The falloff was noticeable. Still pretty good but previous seasons better. And Summer the Vegan is definitely the lamest stereotypical character. Teeter was overly exaggerated in the beginning but then became more normal.

The vamp bangin Jaime is pretty hot though..lol

Summer was terribly written, but I lost my shit when she, a hardcore vegan, did not know how to peel a f***ing potato.

I gave up on it season five a few episodes in. I missed an episode I think because the Eagles were playing Sunday night on one of them & just never came back to it. I’ll probably catch again at some point but just a few episodes in it lost steam imo or at least enough where I wasn’t necessarily dying to catch back up.

Yeah ...I mean I don't need to see 10 minutes of a 50 minute episode moving cattle etc. Probably the worst season overall.

I guess to be fair to them by the season 5-6 mark tv shows in general start losing some steam. The best ones kind of hung it up around this mark which I think is their plan.

Definitely sense that. They even cut down the episodes to 8 in season 5. Also read Costner may not return for season 6......?.

I believe his refusal to come back was know to the crew before 5 was filmed. I think he was the reason why 5 was so meh. They didn’t seem to want to commit to any storylines.

That makes sense. Not sure how the show will fare without him....probably not good if the season 5 falloff is any indication. I suppose Rip would take on a more prominant role. They still have enough to squeeze out one more season but that is it ...

I kinda wish Goliath would make another season or two.

Season 1 was pretty mainstream and decent, but the full transformation into David Lynch meets film noir aesthetic was complete by season 4. It was a slow burn of a show that got better the more they found their identity.

Never seen that show, but now I'm intrigued.

Overall I thought it was a pretty good movie especially one where you're trying to adapt one of the greatest video game franchises and the titular character who is more well known in the world than Mickey. Pretty family friendly outside of using the word "die" but that's up to parents to judge.

Plot 5.5/10 - Pretty average didn't take that many risks. Kind of felt like it just wrapped up at the end with no good conclusion but I wasn't expecting much.

Animation 8.5/10 Pretty dang good. They adapted the Mushroom Kingdom pretty well. Some of the character designs were kind of weird to me. I didn't like the Koopa Troopas that much.

Voice Acting 6/10 - This is the part where I'm being super nit picky. But being a Nintendo kid I definitely have an idea in my head about how these characters should sound. I did not like Anya Taylor Joy as Peach. Her voice is too deep for Peach in my opinion. She did fine performing her lines but I wasn't too enthralled. Seth Rogen is absolute garbage. Donkey Kong was not Donkey Kong at all. I hate it. Recast it Miyamoto. Pratt and Day did a pretty good job as the titular Mario Bros. I was pleasantly surprised. JACK BLACK KILLED IT. Too bad he can't carry the dumb weed head that is Seth Rogen in this category. I am very picky about voice acting since I'm an otaku and all. Don't get me started with how many Japanese VAs I follow on Twitter.

Music 10/10 KONDO f***ING KILLED IT. THE MUSIC WAS FANTASTIC FOR A MARIO HEAD. MAN IS A GENIUS.

Overall 7.5/10. I'm being harsh with the voice acting but it's a pretty good movie. It's fun.

THERE ARE TWO POST CREDIT SCENES
