Just poured myself a glass of Four Roses Small Batch. I'm admittedly a cheap f*** when it comes to bourbon these days (thanks, kids), but for me, Angels Envy has become my go-to value buy whiskey.

This is the way. The only bottles I have in the house anymore are ones that were gifts or $50 and under. There are plenty of good to great reasonable options now. I'm not paying markup.

I've honestly never heard of it, but I don't drink whiskey. Bad experience in my youth ruined it for me and now it makes me squirm.

That beer was excellent though.

I’ve had Basil Hayden plenty of times in the past, either from my own bottle or at friends houses.
I honestly thought it tasted smoother. The marketing worked…
I was also drinking prior to taking a sample shot with my father in law, so I’m going to blame that
