fwiw I don't think they're bad players or bad picks. It's just easier to put them there as ranking these guys is hard and they don't fit on my roster

At this point I was still desparate for a legit top-6 winger to play om the right side. I was debating very strongly between Lupul and someone else, but I think Lupul has greater name recognition as a top line player, even if the other guy I was considering is probably a safer bet to put up decent top-6 production.

The plus side on Boychuk is that Bruins fans love him too... Quite a few of them think their downfall rests with trading him


I also tried to trade for Leddy earlier. Was pretty close. These 2 turned a bottom 10 team into a playoffs team

Leddy went from waiver fodder to top pairing dman lol

I think if this was fantasy hockey (ie for point production), I would rate Big Buff really really high.

High points, high hits, lots of shots.

Unfortunately, big buff doesn't really defend. At times, he doesn't even attempt to defend.

His cap is fine.

The only one I would disagree with is Fleury.. his HF rep is very low and will likely not fair well in a general vote.

But in a fantasy situation... definitely agree with ya..

I see what you mean. I just think Fleury is extreamly underrated which is why I feel like he was a steal. Really depends if the boards think so to or not.

Yep pretty much . Personally I put a lot of thought into my picks and craft my team as I draft, so suddenly swapping my players for yours is just mucking it up for me. For others I'm sure just participating in the draft is enough of a time commitment without constantly trying to make trades.
