The worst part of the dominoes is Bergevin chomping at the bit. If Luc does ultimatley get to choose a new GM, how f***ed are we if he chooses his failure of a buddy
Say what you will about Bergevin, but his team did go on a few deep playoff runs. More impressive work than a lot of GMs

Pretty sure Luc isn’t a surfer. Last I heard he has a ranch up in Burbank. The South Bay bubble boy society may be at its bursting point.

Gallant and Berube
Its a toss up since both of those names are French/Canadian .. more seriously i actually like both of them - they are both on the emotional side which what this team needs vs Koala/8/11 1-3-1 conservative mode.

Who are your top 3 worst King's GMs? I mean Blake will still continue to shit on himself - so its hard to rank him until he's gone - but how about based on his legacy to date.

Yea, don't think you can judge Blake until all is said and done,

In no particular order,

Nick Beverly
Rogie Vachon is up there, as much as I loved him as a person, the moves were....wow.
McMaster is probably up there, maybe a tie for Dave Taylor,

Problem is, you have to use context with everyone, but even with McMaster who f***ed up the layup that was the Gretzky deal, but he was also hamstrung in that Gretzky could basically name his place (he did) and the price would be low REGARDLESS (it was)

Taylor, had about the same vision as Blake, again, love the guy, but he made moves to make them, with no vision etc, the only thing that really saves him from most people's list, is Brown, Kopitar, Quick, other than those 3, what other of the 88 players he drafted, became something....he made one great trade in the Jokinen deal....but other than....why wouldn't he be on that list?

I mean....honestly, we are setting the bar very f***ing low....because out of the 9 GM's LA has had in their history, Lombardi is the only one who wouldn't be on anyone's list.....it's like if you have to list them from beest to worst, Lombardi - Everyone 1, then 2-9 is everyone else, because it's been hot banana shit from everyone else....

Every time the Kings make a move I am always traveling and late to the news, no cell signal in the Upper-Peninsula of Michigan.

It wasn’t working, but it wasn’t working more because of Rob Blake’s incompetent management than it was because of coaching, not to say the coaching wasn’t poor too but Scotty Bowman and Gordon Bombay couldn’t win with this roster.

I think TMac deserved the coach of the year in 2021-2022 but since then it’s been all down hill.

Hiller will be Rob Blake’s version of Torchetti, we all know what happened after Torchetti, hopefully we see the same thing this summer.

Interesting. I cant put Taylor there because of the 3 guys that were the cup core. That has to count for quite a lot. In regards to Blake - I think he started with more than any of them. You could never sign free agents unless they wanted to chill in Manhattan Beach.. it was DL who created the LAK as a destination org.. So Blake had that to work with. I think given that he is on the list when you add in his mistakes.

LA has never been a destination org, yes, Danault signed here, because LA promised more offensive role, 2C etc, and I think they kicked in an extra year, I could be wrong on that,

But aside from that, who has signed here that would make you think DL turned this into a destination org?

As far as Blake started with more

This is who Vachon started with

Dionne, Nicholls, Taylor, Fox, Hardy, Smith, Galley, Wells, Janecyk, keep in mind, going up against the 84 Oilers, you were done with to begin with, but that's a pretty solid group in the core.

This is who Beverly started with

Robitaille, Kurri, Granato, Gretzky, Blake, Coffey, Sandstrom, Zhitnik, Sydor, Hrudey

This is who McMaster Started with

Gretzky, Tocchet, Granato, Sydor, Blake, Lang, Hrudey

And this is who Taylor started with

Stumpel, Murray, Blake, Robitaille, Fiset etc....

Out of those Taylor did start with the worst.....

lol no mention of George Maguire lol

You just had the entire board go, who? And then go look up Jerry Maguire the movie

After the cup wins Kings were def not considered a joke org as they had since pretty much the beginning in '67 - thats my point. It counts for quite a bit when finding talent - coaches, players. True there havent been a lot of obvious results of that - so its not that big of a point.

Blake started with 8, 11 ,32, Carts, Tof, Muzz, Martinez, Pearson all in their prime.. thats a pretty good group to start with.. so I think he is up there any of the GMs you listed there in terms of starting talent.
