For a prospects orientated board you'd think people would finally learn not to judge players until 6-7 years post draft but no, always those dumb alarmist threads.
What have you done for me lately (on both sides of it)For a prospects orientated board you'd think people would finally learn not to judge players until 6-7 years post draft but no, always those dumb alarmist threads.
He’s playing well, no need to hate. That said, he is still an ugly ginger tap in merchant.Lafs goals this year while shooting a definitely sustainable 25% have come against:
buffalo - second to last place team in division
seattle - 24th / 32nd place team
calgary - 30th / 32nd place team
oilers - 31st / 32nd place team
wild - 26th / 32nd place team
columbus - 28th / 32nd place team
Canucks fans are notorious about this and Cam Neely and it really makes zero sense.I don't understand this. So many fans are scared of players leaving and putting up points, becoming stars, or just becoming a good players elsewhere. Who cares? If it's not happening in the organization you cheer for, then who cares if the player excels elsewhere?
It's not passionate hate for the player. It's not like fans wake up in the morning and first thing that comes to mind "You know, I really hate that Alexis Lafreniere." I mean, maybe some do, but those are probably the same fans that think it's cool to have their entire life revolve around their favorite sport teams. Yeah, I'm looking at you fans who need a hockey themed wedding..
If he can excel elsewhere and NYR are better for it or at least put it behind them that it's not happening here, then great for Alexis. Fans shouldn't want to see a young player fail.
Saved.I will paypal you $10,000 USD if he scores 40+ goals this season send your info.
Yup. I wonder what all the top scorers numbers looking like withOUT PP1 time.On pace for 40+ goals without PP1 time. Sure, that probably doesn’t last but that’s still very impressive.
Schrödinger's HFBoards; where all prospects are simultaneously overrated and busts at the same time. For a prospects orientated board you'd think people would finally learn not to judge players until 6-7 years post draft but no, always those dumb alarmist threads.

We're not allowed to be happy for the guy?People going to really keep bumping this thread like it erases the last 3 years? Bump it after the end of the year if he’s actually improved significantly.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!Bookmarked !
The hate is strong with this one. The tears taste delicious.Lafs goals this year while shooting a definitely sustainable 25% have come against:

LOL.Right, but they’re all on PP1 because they aren’t busts, so..
Ah I’m just rustlin your jimmies, don’t birth a cowbell sideways. 2nd favorite hobby besides making up folksy expressions.
Do the last 3 years somehow negate how well he's playing this year and how he has noticeably progressed?People going to really keep bumping this thread like it erases the last 3 years? Bump it after the end of the year if he’s actually improved significantly.

He's a Ranger, you are supposed to hate his ever loving guts. Only thing worse would be if he was a Leaf. We're not allowed to be happy for the guy?

Yes, it’s called statistical significance, which relies upon sample sizes. 3 years > 11 gamesDo the last 3 years somehow negate how well he's playing this year and how he has noticeably progressed?
Funny because the most vitriolic hate I've ever seen for this guy has been posted on a daily basis in the RANGERS board. He's a Ranger, you are supposed to hate his ever loving guts. Only thing worse would be if he was a Leaf.
6'1 aint small in today's NHL6'1 is small in pro sports these days...hell, its small in real life for a guy...I'm 6'1 and 190 and do not consider myself a big guy at all
I didn't realize he can't show improvement and fans can't express excitement for that improvement unless we evaluate him after a full season. See you in June, then.Yes, it’s called statistical significance, which relies upon sample sizes. 3 years > 11 games
