I mean... most these guys getting fined make upwards of 4-6m per year, if not more. The fines are like $5-7k. These guys will spend more on a dinner for their teammates than that. Fines have never had a point.
The fines in an ideal world with a proper DoPS are slap on the wrist warnings that should lead to suspensions. Warnings don't mean much if you've been given seven of them.

Forsling with goals in back-to-back games

God damn did Hawks make mistake dumping Forsling

Truly amazing player now with another strong season underway

45 GP
7 goals
12 assists
19 pts
+32 (Far and away best on Panthers team and 3rd in NHL)
22:10 TOI

Should have been a foundation piece here to build around but a certain shitty coach hated him and GM threw him away to appease him

Loved Forsling.. watched his SHL games from the day we acquired him. Q loved him, Colliton hated him, he bounced around AHL to NHL and really found his home in Florida. Also heard he is extremely committed to hockey and a freak in the gym. Sucks we gave him away.

Jamal has an “interesting” take here.

What a f***ing braindead take.

Yep, always liked him too. Thought we gave up on him way too early, and that's being proven now.

Just don't search Forsling for peoples thoughts when we traded him for DeHaan. Everyone was pretty happy at that time.
Yeah most people were happy to get a Top 4 guy coming back in De Haan. Especially with how Forsling was being used. I have 14 pages on my account talking about Forsling and even I was like.. Not my Forsling!! but said it was a great trade.

Also in the waiver thread saying we should take him back.. but alas.

You can do a search and look at my post history when it comes to Forsling. I was constantly pumping him up and speaking his praises. Just sayin. Whether people thought the trade was good at the time is irrelevant to what people thought of Forsling as a player.

Because he was a terrible coach that no players liked. And people here defended him.. lol
To be fair, people defended him over the first season or season and a half, because as with any coach, they definitely need some time to put their fingerprints on the team. And yes, I have no problem saying I was willing to give him time to see what he could do. That said, most people were happy to see him go by the time he was canned, including myself.

Exactly. Not many here were defending him after the first season and a bit. You have to give a coach a season before passing judgement, in most cases.

Yeah, I just mean, its fun to look back and say we should have held on to him, and this and that, but at the time, he was stagnant as a player and we got someone who could actually help the team in return.

And that's fair, I just thought he was trash pretty quickly, and nothing he did the entire time here made me change my mind.

LuRich has done way more than JC ever did yet some of those same people want to dump him in less than a season and a half here.

Debrincat scored 9 goals in October.

He's now scored 9 goals in all of November, December and January combined

Just not taking that next step to becoming an elite goal scorer

I've caught a handful of Wings games since Kane joined, and Debrincat doesn't look like the same player as when he was here. I think he will find his game again eventually.
