Some of us made it very clear the disaster that trade was the moment it happened and pointed out Weiss was trash who was simply productive because someone on piss poor Hab teams needed to put puck in net

As for Fleischmann he was at end of his NHL career so what the hell Bowman saw in him at that point is baffling

One of Bowman's worst trades

Seemed like a John McD push move to me. That because we went all in at the deadline the season prior and won a Cup we should do it again the next season even though we weren’t nearly as talented of a team in 2016. So dumb.

Bowman handled that deadline differently then he did any other(including 2015)...BUT...how he handled it is how MOST teams handle it EVERY YEAR...the best teams all season long for some odd reason go overboard at the deadline, especially this year...
Bowman changed his philology that year...and went for it...

It was almost the opposite of how teams built long term success. We had enough quality veterans to be patient with younger players but we weren't.

Yeah and then IIRC Q didn't like them anyway so they barely played.
Weise did a podcast and talked about this, he had visa issues or something and stopped skating for a while, came to Chicago and told Q he needed time to get his legs back, immediately into dog house, said he had to ask Toews why Q hated him so much, said Bowman apologized to him for the experience or something like that, the disconnect between Q and Bowman put the team decline into overdrive...Q did same thing to Vermette too so was kind of his thing with some guys

@1:20:30 "was there a disconnect between bowman on the trade? oh a total disconnect"

about sums up the final few years before the team was ran into the ground

was better than what they were playing on the 4th line at the time, especially after trading Danault and a 2nd round pick...why was Q playing Mashinter instead
sure. the return has nothing to do with it but sure. The 2 games Mashinter played 7 min you would have rather had Weisse in. Not really a sticking point for me when talking about lineup construction.

Vermette played 14 min a night for 19 games to close the season. He had no goals and 3 assists.

Kane Hossa Toews Saad Sharp Shaw Versteeg Bickell Richards were all playing well why would Vermette get more ice. Once they playoffs hit he played a bit better with 4 goals and 7 points in 20 games on 13 min of ice. He just wasnt that good at that point. 3rd 4th line guy. He played his role tho.

The same thing that "happened" to Weisse is happening to Sam Lafferty.

Daley and Kempny there's an argument. I am sure this is the same for every team in the league. I dont know but that might be a system issue as well. I thought I remember Daley talking about that.

It was system focused a bit. Kempny and Daley preferred to carry the puck up ice and had good results doing that. Q always wanted to stress the quick 1st pass from Dmen. I also think Kempny bothered Q by pinching too much, there was times he pinched n lead to an odd man rush that he was sat after.

The Lightning went out and got Blake Coleman and Barclay Goodrow. Bowman went out and got Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann. ’nuff said.

He also had gotten Ladd then.

But it made the team worse then and later. He also added Panik then too. They tried to add so many different wingers and didn't even need more by the time Weise and Flash showed up

No he wasn’t he was playing like garbage and he was not even better than Danault back then, idiot Stan is doing the apologizing? lmao, moron just traded a gem away for worthless rentals and has the nerve to go and apologize like he knows things, Q was most likely pissed that Stan the Man traded away Danault and didn’t want to play the garbage return.

This is former management, but the Rangers have heavy interest Q, and the Penguins with Bowman. Won’t be shocked to see them both back in the league next year with those teams.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Q back with the NYR. Seems like the perfect spot for him, hockey wise. I won't comment on the other stuff. We have beaten that horse to death now.
