No surprise but ....f***.... or should I say f***, once again. There is nothing left to cheer for. This is gonna be the worst Hawks team ever with very little in the system to be optimistic about.

I don't think anyone thought it would ever get this bad, so quickly .... not even me who has been warning folks since 2015 that this team was well on its way to a downward spiral.

The funniest thing is that there are so many Leafs fans online upset that they didn't sign Dylan Strome... that's just great. Their GM does something so clearly right and they don't see it.

Does Vegas provide bets on players suiting up for Stanley Cup games? I'd like to place a bet on Strome, Borgstrom and Gus suiting up for a finals game with the Caps!

Just imagine Strome trapped in the Leafs zone with Murray as their goalie

Is Hayden the ultimate practice player or something? Coaches like him but he's got to have some special intangibles.
Good for him. Amazing to me that he continues to successfully extend his NHL career.

I did not realize he was still in NHL

The fact he still gets NHL contracts is pretty remarkable given how terrible he is at hockey

Physicality is still wanted/needed

Some folks seem to think that every forward must be a speedster to play in the NHL .... and if not, they are a bum. Hayden has always shown leadership abilities and despite his limited skating ability is looked upon as a big and useful 4th liner with a physical presence.

Agreed he’s at a point he’s a 2 way type of player but he will have a job for next few years
