Yeah, Trocheck is far better all-around player who has been far more consistent thru his career (Even with the injuries)

His peak upside also is higher than Strome's though may never reach it again after the injury that in many ways derailed his promise as he looked the part of a potential #1C years ago in Florida

Trocheck had one season over sixty points and it was five years ago. 1C upside? Nah bud.

He looked very much the part and on way to being one potentially

He was 24 yrs old allstar when he had that 75 pt year and there were many that thought Panthers had two potential young #1 caliber centers

His career was derailed by this

And subsequent surgery

The fact he has been able to come back from this and still build solid career as a 2nd line C is accomplishment

Not sure he ever would have been a #1, but injuries have hampered his career. And he's definitely a far superior player to Strome

This team is gonna be garbage, we have another horrendous GM. We are gonna be stuck cupless for a few decades if things don’t change drastically…

Ya just like when Stan did well according to most at this point last year and I was laughing at them
Try being factual (a stretch for you but … try) I was never a Bowman fan. Disagreed with the premise on which he was hired/promoted.
So far you’ve offered nothing to justify your position, no actual facts, just a short sighted opinion.
I’ve been watching this game long before you were swimming around in your fathers shorts.
Fans (of the game) get a good laugh from folks like you. You’re self indulgent and pretend your limited knowledge based opinions are facts.
It’s easy to predict teams will falter. It’s guaranteed to happen. All teams at the top will fall. This doesn’t make you smart. Rather the opposite.

You guys want to have an interesting discussion?
How come all of the public models think Dylan Strome is a really good player and this board and NHL teams think that he sucks?

Boy is really using the same analytics that said Nick Bonino (is he even in the league anymore?) is better and more valuable than Kane.

The majority of people who ONLY use the eye test or advanced stats won't be correct. They go hand in hand to tell the story.

As for Strome - he HAD to play with Kane and Cat here or else he was useless and seemed to just act fed up if he didn't get the minutes he wanted.
That's what his body language said on the ice, at least. So the stats won't tell you that bit.

A lot of times they contradict each other. Strome is a good example of that.
