GDT: The Four Nations Tournament Thread

I came here to read about Pettersson and was not disappointed. I didn't realise how bad he has been for Canucks too this year, I thought he was better than what I saw from him today.

The Biggest thing Petey has to work on this offseason is his burst - ie strength training for his legs. He's gotta get a trainer to whip him into shape - hopefully he takes this seriously. I fully believe he can get back to a 90 + player if he gets his speed up on the ice - he used to be in the 90th percentile ish for a lot of speed stats before this year he's a fraction of that..........

WE are not getting a player of his potential talent in any type of trade of draft anytime soon.......as such our best hope is to cross our fingers on a bounceback..........

It's pretty clear his edge stats are way down...........hopefully he is able to and takes seriously his training this off season..........we really need that. I think there's a pretty good chance he bounces back next year.......how much who knows? He really needs some speed back it seems like ...........as well as his confidence.

And you’d be right to think so. We’re all disappointed and frustrated about it. At least his C games aren’t complete liabilities, but the team just needs more from him.

So much room for further mistakes, IMO.

Trading EP at this point would be akin to punting on this core and that includes Hughes. Trade EP, and we are talking about walking Quinn right to FA.

That’s loser talk, man. You assume a loss, you’ll definitely get a loss. In my experience. Take tonight for example. Binnington is in goal so I’m expecting a loss, but I have the funniest feeling about it. A gut reaction that isn’t sitting right.

TRT, peptides, and stem cells. HGH if it’s allowed.

My boss goes to the same clinic as the Suns in Arizona. They go down to Mexico for treatments regularly.

Pettersson is not bigger than the team no matter how many people say that trading him is going to cripple the franchise. Trade him before his contract really cripples this team. This sub was going apeshit after Cody "future captain" Hodgson was traded too.

Players don't live up to their potential all the time. Getting hung up on an under-achieving forward and risking tanking the career of your franchise defenseman for him is inexcusable.

Cut bait in the offseason at the trade deadline and trade him for whatever you can recover before you are stuck with a shutdown 3rd liner for 8 years who is being paid a top 5 salary in the league.

Yup. Need him on something to add some aggression to his game. Some chaos in his demeanour.

Medical team needs to add 15 pounds to his frame and have him run hotter than a prime JT.

Then we have something to work with.

Thats just his personality. Hes been like that his whole life. If you dont believe in his type of personality, then you trade him. You cant make a 26 year old grown ass man change his entire personality.
