This will be an epic tournament.
USA, Canada and Sweden are massive favorites.
Russia could win but you cannot count out the Czechs or Swiss to make a surprise run.
Nope, not me. I refuse.Everyone who posts regularly on this site is gonna watch it
it's a gimmicky as shit "tournament"He’s their best forward.
yeah, the olympics mean something .. this is just a all star game replacement with more stepsthen they could just go to the olympics lol and let the ioc decide if russians can play
as is, having bettman and co. use their discretion is stupid
anyways, the us would win either way... which is gonna be wildly annoying. hope canada or sweden can pull one off. hughes doesn't need this to bolster the hhof resume
Unless the NHL commits to this long term, for a lot of people, they would view this as a one off event.it's a gimmicky as shit "tournament"

Is there an official Team Canada and Team USA roster yet?
Dude....why do you have to go and say that!?Why the f*** are you hosting this in the middle of the season?
Imagine if Hughes blows his knee out at a useless tournament.
4 lefties and 3 righties. Plus really solid goalies. This defense is unreal lol
Hanifin would be the extra for me4 lefties and 3 righties. Plus really solid goalies.
Probably pair the more offensive guy with a defensive one.
Fox with Slavin
Quinn with MacAvoy
Werenski with Faber
Leaves Hanifin as the 7th. Though, he could take Fabers spot, but have to slide over.
Have not watched much Minny, but MacAvoy is known to throw his weight around, so nice to have that attribute for a Hughes partner. Werenski has enough size to take care of himself, thus doesn't need MacAvoy as much.Hanifin would be the extra for me
I'd probably put Faber with Hughes but I mean there are really no bad combinations lol
lol Bouchard got snubbed.
Oilers schadenfreude aside, if you don't have a power play to put him on, he's useless. Makar will play the top PP unit and Theodore the second. Every other d-man are much better versatile players overall.
USA has 3D who can run PP1. All of Fox, Quinn And Werenski.Them going with Parayko (or Tanev or Weegar or something) over Bouchard is not surprising at all.
When you already have Makar it makes Bouchard a lot less valuable.
