All accurate, I think….that was a long time ago. One thing you left out though…or alluded to not being true. The team is actually good NOW…as well. That’s kinda the whole point of this thread.

There's 32 teams in the league. The Kings have the 16th best record in the NHL.

I’m used to being excited about who the Kings will pick within the top 5 picks in the draft…I’ll take 16th overall all damn day long!

I mean he was just on the top line for 2 games and had a couple assists. Todd fukcing kills me. Why not leave him there more than a game or 2? Kaliyev has been moved so much and played with so many different players that it's mind boggling. Meanwhile Alex the passenger Lolfallo can play on the top line and not produce for months and his spot was safe. **** you Todd.

Wait....what? Kaliyev has played on that 4th line since the season started and has had a few....stints with the top line,
Iafallo has played on that 1st line since the season started...and was moved several times....
I don't think the facts add up to what you are saying.

While I don't agree with the pie in the sky sentiment of this thread and have serious doubts about coaching and management I will have to agree that posts constantly PREDICTING failure like "open the flood gates" after the team concedes a goal or "here comes the losing streak" after a loss are nauseating and cause me to cringe every time I read them. I'm not sure if it gives some of you a weird sense of satisfaction to constantly doubt, worry and project negativity. What's the point of following the team if you have no hope?
And here's the rub, no one is saying there ISN'T questions.....there is, but to along with those predicting failure....is the 100% absolute certainty that "if only they did XXXXXX" we'd be....better.......or "if only we didnt do xxxxx" we'd be better,
Like I said before, I want that crystal ball for myself please....

Yep....statements like this are as asinine as they can be, almost as bad as well....if the coach did XXXXX we'd be winning much more......because you know, crystal ball is a f***ing crystal ball
Who cares if someone says something negative about the kings coach on a message board? Its not a crystal ball. Its someone seeing it differently and discussing his view. On a message board. I dont agree with a lot of stuff said but I accept it. Like you can be sure to come on here after every goal against and see Sol blame the goalie. Every single one. I dont agree with it but Id never talk to him like my viewpoint is better.
I think its ok to say that they are a much improved team.
They still are a team with a weak PP.
Decent but not always reliable goaltending.
An unproven injury riddled defense.
No pure-skill killer-instinct scorers.
Playoffs are a different beast altogether. A lot will depend on Quick standing on his head. It would be nice to get past the first round.

It's not about viewpoints being better, it's about being logical.....I blocked Sol a long time ago, he's the only one I've blocked because you are right, empty net goal, he's gonna blame the goaltender....
When you say, if the coach did XXXXX or the player did XXXXX we would have 10 more wins, that's not logical on the best day......there's no way of knowing that,
It's like when people say the Tmac is garbage because he doesn't do what they want (Kaliyev on the PP one timer etc) it's like they act Tmac doesn't know the game....or they have insight to the players and team that Tmac doesn't have.....it's illogical.
That's not to say criticism is never warranted, that's the only way you get better at anything, but the amount of blanket statements is just...mind numblingly bad.....it's like using hindisight as an indication you were right...above all things.

You guys promised me that by adding a 2nd C that does all the dirty, it will help Kopitar WAY MORE than actually adding a scoring winger to his line
