absolutely not lol there not winning cups its not glory hunting jesus its just a fun journey
Yeah glory hunting is a weird way to term it. Jumping on a bandwagon sure but it’s not like you or me were rooting for Chesterfield - assuming you didn’t anyway - or even giving a passing glance to the National League (and I still hesitate when I use that name for soccer) before the docu-series. The fact I was sweating out Monday’s game as if it was Mets-Braves last September is a good thing for all involved.

You announced you were supporting a team once they hit top of their league.
You know as well as anyone hitting the top of the league only means you get promoted to the fourth tier as opposed to the fifth tier. Glory hunting is a new fan rooting for Man City if you don’t live in Man City. Following a journey up the ladder can still be rewarding even if you know zilch about Wrexham pre-Rob and Ryan.

Forest Green Rovers (League One) is the first EFL side to be relegated this season, absolutely woeful season, one win in their last 20 matches. In the Championship Wigan is as good as down too, not mathematically yet but could happen as early as midweek should results go certain ways

League Two looks to be fun the last 4 or 5 match days. Leyton Orient are the only club that has locked up 1 of the 3 automatic promotion spots. There are 6 clubs within 3 points of the last 2 spots and some have matches in hand

2nd-Northampton 74 pts 4 matches left (1 against Bradford City)
3rd-Stevanage-73 pts 5 matches left
4th-Stockport-71 pts 4 matches left (1 against Carlisle, 1 against Leyton Orient)
5th-Carlisle-71 pts-4 matches left (1 against Stockport)
6th-Bradford City-71 pts-5 matches left (1 against Northampton and last match of the season they host 1st place Leyton Orient who will have nothing to play for)

Then and there
Crazy tweet I saw today. If Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu gets promoted with Luton Town he will be the first player to go from Non-League to Prem with one club.

Insane story!

Back in the pre-Premier league days Luther Blissett was quite the similar story as well. Got promoted through 4 divisions with Watford, getting better in every division. Culminating the newly promoted side finishing 2nd in their first top division season behind only the juggernaut (even in European competitions) Liverpool.

And Blissett finished as the top scorer in the top division that season.

Sheffield United one win away from promotion, however due to the FA Cup that will be delayed a bit unless Luton/Boro drop more points this weekend. Blackburn Rovers still in the playoff spots despite a negative GD, only team in the top 10 in fact with a negative GD. Wigan and Blackpool could be relagated as early as this weekend depending on results

What a day

I'm a New Zealander who traveled to Wales when I was in my late teens meet a girl and settled down there

Became a Wrexham FC fan and even had season tickets in the kop

My family and I moved back to NZ a few years back but I remained a supporter of the club but never thought I'd see this day

Wish I was back there celebrating, the place is pretty rough and hasn't had much to cheer about so it's going to be nuts

Thanks to Rob and Ryan, you brought a tear to an old man's eye
