Preston with one goal scored and zero conceded in 6 championship matches. Quite amusing

Reading being top is a bit surprising, as is Hull & Rotherham in the top 6

Neil left Sunderland to take over Stoke, Sunderland hired ex-Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray. In League One Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has resigned at bottom of the table Burton, but I guess he has a gig at Sky now

Another 2-0 road victory for Pompey, taking care of business against bottom Burton. Still undefeated and have rattled off 6 straight League victories.

This was also pretty adorable:

Pack was such a great addition to the team... He's the rock in the midfield I hoped he would be.

The next three weeks will be big at the top of the table...Pompey host 3rd place Plymouth on Saturday, and after a week off for international call ups, travel to 1st place Ipswich.

Very excited to see where they stand after beating Peterborough at the beginning of the month.

Loads of managerial changes last few weeks with the international break coming in between

Out: Schofield (Huddersfield, sacked); Morrison (Cardiff, sacked); Warne (Rotherham, signed with Derby County); Edwards (Watford, sacked); Arveladze (Hull, sacked); Wilder (Middlesbrough, sacked)

At the moment only Huddersfield and Watford have hired a permanent manager. Huddersfield hired Mark Fotheringham who is Scottish but spent the bulk of his coaching career as an assistant in Germany, notably under Magath at Hertha. Bilic is the new manager at Watford

QPR appointed a new manager in June and that manager is now the 11th longest tenured in the Championship according to a Tweet I saw.

West Brom just lost to the 1-0 merchants Preston and surely that means Bruce gets the sack as they are in the relegation zone by 2 points. To be honest, they deserved the result, they put on almost no real pressure bar one shot on target in stoppage time, just terrible play for that talent at that level.

Still early days and its tight at the top but Norwich have lost three in a row while Sheffield United are without a win in 5 so they have dropped from the top two spots. QPR and Blackburn are now joint top but QPR have the superior GD. Reading falling back down to earth after being in the playoff spots virtually all season so far and Bilic not off to a good start at Watford.

Reading just doesn't have the depth, I suspect their fall is just starting
