Derby is going to have a tough time staying up between their draw and Reading's win today.

Crewe and Scunthorpe are essentially down at this point and I am worried for the Iron's future if Swann ever decides he is tired of pumping money into them.

With Reading's win, the bottom of the Championship is basically settled bar the order. Barnsley is 8 back with 7 matches left.

Fulham has first locked.

Bournemouth losing today but they are a lock for 2nd as well.

6 clubs within 4 points of 3rd, should be a great run-in for the playoff spots

wouldn't be so sure on them being a lock for 2nd, they're 6 points up on 3rd (Forest) and their run in isn't an easy one

(H) Middlesborough (pushing for playoffs)
(A) Coventry (played very well against forest on Wednesday)
(H) Fulham (best team in the league)
(A) Swansea (mid table)
(A) Blackburn (pushing for playoffs)
(H) Forest (playoffs pushing for 2nd)
(H) Millwall (pushing for playoffs)

Derby still alive after beating Fulham. Still have to win 3 of 4 while Reading cant take a point but Derby has a significant GD advantage.

Fulham one win away from promotion back to the EPL, Bournemouth with their games in hand are in good shape as well, the current bottom three set to go down and as gary mentioned Derby officially relegated today

In League 1, Wigan, Rotherham and MK Dons fighting for the two automatic spots, only Crewe have been officially relegated but Doncaster soon to join them

Forest Green Rovers one win away from promotion to League One

Would be nice to have a fresh face coming up this year. Luton/Forest would add something quite different I would think... and Corberan's Huddersfield might be similar to Bielsa's Leeds

Then and there
I remember when Luton was playing top division football in the 1980s, with the Stein brothers and Mick Harford (who was even selected for the WC'86 squad) leading the line, N.I international Mal Donaghy in defence etc.

Most memorable from them at that time was the ridiculous artificial plastic pitch, which meant match results like 7-4. Luckily they returned to grass in the 1990's.

I thought for sure that Luton's story was coming to end when they went down to non-league football, but they have done well to come back up from that.

Wonder where Rooney will manage next year. Good on him for staying to try and help Derby. Unsuccessfully, but that cannot be held against him.

Oh please have Luton be the team to come up. Feels like the most 'different' option available and I'm all there for something different!

Billion dollar lineup of ManCity coming to play here is all I want to see. :)

Crazy how far Doncaster have fallen off. Going from the thick of promotion to likely relegated. Football has some cruel gods

Donny havent made the L1 playoffs in 3 years; their managerial appointments bar Darren Moore have not been great and even he didnt stick around long enough.

Wimbledon's had some great escapes recently but this one would be their best.

They've been so close the last few weeks, going ahead of MK and Wycombe, only to concede late equalizers...those lost 4 points will likely be their undoing.

4 points from safety at the moment (potentially as much as 6) with 2 to play.

Saturday is massive, playing on the road at Fleetwood, currently 3 ahead of them with one game in hand. 1 point is needed at a minimum, but realistically they need all 3.

Meanwhile, Gillingham has to travel to Fratton to play Portsmouth, who's been on a decent run of form of late, but is out of the playoff picture. So the Dons could get some help here.

If they win, and GIllingham lose, then Wimbledon and Fleetwood will both be on 39 points, and Gillingham safe at 40.

Fleetwood then play their game in hand against 7th place Wednesday, though it's at home.

The last matchday sees Gillingham hosting Top 2 Rotherham, Fleetwood visiting mid-table Bolton, and Wimbledon hosting mid-table Accrington Stanley.

It's not impossible that they could get 4 points out of their last two, with Gillingham and Fleetwood not getting their needed points, but the Dons haven't won this year (!!), so it's going to be very difficult.

They're at least good teams that yo-yo. They play and promote a look of good young players, unfortunately they sell them for nice money and don't get to keep them through their best years.

We at least cant be grouped in with Norwich  I mean we've sucked like them.. But we've spent 100 million each season when we've been up! Silva seems to be playing some good stuff vs what we were used to with Parker.

Aaaaaaaand Wimbledon is all but relegated for the first time in their short history.

Yet another blown lead. Went up 1-0 to Fleetwood early, but gave up an 88th minute equalizer.
