I think they can sustain it, as long as they can keep Brereton Diaz, who's playing at level I never thought he had in him.

I'm hoping Forest can sign Spence and a good left wing back if we manage that I think we can hit the play offs, because aside from the Middlesbrough game and 10 mad minutes against Fulham we've played well even when we've not got the results.

Then and there
Junior Hoilett scored twice, but Derby staged a late comeback from two goals down. Not a bad game, and there were quite a few players with Premier League experience.

Derby are now under a fresh transfer embargo as they've not been able to prove they've got the funds to see out the season.

They've been refusing offers for players while in administration so this isn't particularly surprising

I dont see how Derby can keep hold of their big 4 of Bird, Sibley, Lawrence and Bielik. At least 2 are going to have to go. They lost Jagielka because his short term contract was up and he couldnt re-sign; i think the same thing will happen with Baldock so an already thin roster is going to be shorn of 2 players at least

Also, Spence is rumored to be wanted by Milan, so i doubt he would goto Forest.

Fulham have scored 19 goals in their last 3 games, 3 more than Barnsley have scored all season. Mitrovic has 27 goals so far.

Fabio Carvalho is one to watch. Born in Portugal but has only played for England youth teams. 19 year old AM.

Derby turned down a 450,000 bid for Sibley, not sure how much longer they can afford to turn down bids for though, they've got around 2 weeks to prove funds, selling Lawrence i think would go the longest way to securing what they need, he's their highest paid player and could probably slot straight into a few premier league teams.

As for Spence, he's back at Forest at the moment and already played for Boro this season, so he can't play for another team until next season anyway.

edit: I also think he'd let Forest know if he didn't want to stay here and we'd end up putting in a bid for Buchanan again from Derby in the 1-1.5m range

Carvalho has an expiring contract. He is wanted by every big club in europe. Two years after losing Harvey Elliott for nothing we will lose another....

Fulham have put together one of the most dominate championship seasons in history so far. Top defense in the league, all while scoring 30 more goals than anyone else. After limping thru the playoffs a couple of times looks like Silva actually has a plan, and the money to implement it.

Crowd medical emergency has delayed Blackburn-Boro midway through 2nd half.

Rooney has done an incredible job with them, and despite what a lot of their fans are saying the league have been very good by allowing the deadline to prove funds to be pushed back.

If that hadn't happened then their squad would be much weaker as they'd needed to have sell some of the players previously mentioned to prove they could complete the season.

Mitrovic again, Fulham pulling away.

Nottingham knocking on the door of the playoffs, pulled out a point today down a man scoring in the 92 minute. They would be the only non-recent PL team to go up. 17th last year, so rooting for them here as well as in the FA Cup.

Could be a pretty amazing season if the dice roll their way.

West Brom down in 11th, dont think they are coming straight back up. Teams in front and behind have games in hand so gonna be hard to move up unless they get really hot.

With his two goals tonight, Mitrovic now has 33 goals this season. That's third on the all-time Championship/2nd tier one season scoring list, after 42 by Portsmouth's Guy Whittingham and 59 by Middlesborough's George Camsell. He could get to second place before the season ends.

About 10 games left for most teams in League 1.

Rotherham likely to win the league but it's not a given as MK beat them last weekend; MK and Wigan tied in 2nd.

Playoffs are...tight. MK, Oxford, Sunderland, and Argyle right now, but only 8 points separate 4th from 10th place Portsmouth right now, and Pompey have 2 games in hand on Oxford and Sunderland. Pompey also hitting their best run of form this year, having taken 19 of 21 points. The Cowleys moved out a lot of dead weight in January and seem to have found a squad that's gelling.

The bottom of the table is also tight. Crewe's going down, but after that? 4 points separate 19th place Fleetwood and 23rd Doncaster. Wimbledon once again in a relegation battle, right now just one point clear.

Relegation run in for the championship is interesting,

Reading have 4/10 games against the top 10
Barnsley have 2/10 games against the top 10
Derby have 4/9 games against the top 10
Peterborough have 4/10 games against the top 10

Barnsley still have games against Reading and Peterborough

Blackpools last 3 games are against the current bottom 3 sides.
And Swansea still have to play all of the bottom 4

On the surface it seems Barnsley likely have the best chance of survival right now.
