Hard to believe it has been that long. I remember when I went to bed that night the first reports were that she'd been in an accident but was not thought to be seriously injured. Then I woke up the next morning. :cry:
CBS hit rock bottom that night when Dan Rather signed off saying she was out of danger

I think she's going to win after last night. She was outstanding last night. The girl she knocked off was stunned. Don't know if that is how she always looks but it seemed like she thought this would be an easier match.

can`t tell you how pleasantly surprised I have been at how much I`m enjoying the Welcome to Wrexham doc series, so so much more than simply a doc on a soccer/football squad

Since there are a lot of dog owners here, does anyone who has allergies have a hypoallergenic breed? There a lot of choices out there! I would love a rescue but may have to get one from a breeder if we can't find one that way.
Look at vizsla. My brother in law got one because of his allergies, one of the most hypoallergenic breeds there is.

The dog loves to snuggle. But, the dog is active. If you're not an active person, I wouldn't suggest it.

I've been watching it too and its good, but not as good as Sunderland til I Die which you can stream on Netflix. Both story lines are similar, but the Sunderland doc is about a team on its way down, not up.

I've been a life-long Newcastle supporter and I hate Sunderland, they are our arch rivals. But even I have a small amount of compassion for what those supporters have gone through over the last 5 years.

I've actually lived in both places. Perfectly fine places to live and I enjoyed my time in both states. Actually thinking about moving back to one or the other, eventually.

Tennessee baby! 3 years, and it will be home #2. Not too hot, beautiful landscape (Eastern part).

I just might be right behind you. Couldn't agree more. I'm thinking East TN too....Nashville area has gotten stupid expensive.

Wife and I are also looking at properties in NE New Mexico right now, around Taos. With interest rates rising, prices are starting to come down....

I for sure am getting the hell out of Chicago. That is certain.

An emergency alert that appeared on television on Wednesday telling residents about an "immediate evacuation notice" for Los Angeles and other areas was broadcast in error, authorities said.

Confused residents took to Twitter to share screenshots of the message that interrupted programming.

"Emergency Alert System. A civil authority has issued an IMMEDIATE EVACUATION NOTICE for the following counties or areas," the message said.

The list included Los Angeles and Ventura, California, as well as Eastern North Pacific Ocean, and Port Conception to Guadalupe Island.

oh I have never heard of/seen Sunderland til I Die but I will now, thanks, I`m no soccer/football fan but I`ll watch a doc on almost anything if it`s well done, thanks again for the suggestion

Take a look at Arizona, specifically West of Phoenix. The weather is only yech about 6 weeks a year. There's a lot of industry growing here, and by growing I mean like wildfire. Lots of opportunity and lots of housing. Prices are leveling off.

Flying to California Saturday morning. The anxiety is in full swing. Doc gave me Ativan, which I have never taken.

Anyone have any experience with it?
I have some "just in case" but I've never used it.

I find that what helps my anxiety is to plan out my entire flight from leaving the house to my destination. I have a plan for multiple situations as part of my triggers is dealing with the unexpected. I've been know to write them out and keep them in my bag. A mimosa preflight also helps if available (I don't recommend mixing meds and alcohol tho).

Outside of that and looking at maps of where my potential gates will be, I do a lot of deep breathing and give myself a lot of affirmations.

Make sure you have a book or movie downloaded for the flight and if you have a tv, find something there to keep your mind busy.

Just remember that you've got this and your flights are going to be smooth like buttah

What part of Cali if you don't mind me asking? I've had varying experiences but only a couple times out like 15 trips out there. No ridiculously negative experiences so I wouldn't sweat.

Flying to San Francisco. Getting the lay of the land on Saturday. Touristy stuff Sunday. Heavy stuff Monday. Picking up a car Tuesday and driving the coast to San Diego. Flying back on a red eye from San Diego next weekend.

I’m excited, terrified, sad, just everything.

I should try to download a nice long movie. Maybe Heat, which for some reason I’ve been wanting to watch again. I also have the Nintendo switch that i haven’t played and could bring. The issue is that I’m usually fixated on the window, and i stay that way until it’s time to get out

Interesting folks in San Fran. The last time I was there I was filling up my rental car before returning it to Hertz before my flight. While gassing up I heard yelling and there was a crazy lady sitting on the sidewalk screaming at the top of her lungs. I thought something was severely wrong until I noticed she was screaming at a plastic grocery bag. Of course I made the mistake of making eye contact with her and she started walking over to me and I was like oh great... she asked me for a cigarette so I gave her one and she kept babbling on about nonsense.. I just remember thinking in my mind "am I back in New Hampshire yet. . ."

San Diego is one of my very favorite cities in the whole world. Very walkable. The waterfront area, ethnic neighborhoods with great restaurant.s. The zoo also outstanding. So much to offer.
