I kind of want the Penguins. I feel like beating them would do the most for the franchise (though the catharsis of beating the Rangers would be great). I don't know if we'd have to deal with more than 1k or 2k Pens fans. The only team I definitely don't want is the Bruins.

CBJ seems like a team build for the playoffs. My team to win the East (just got to survive Boston).

Great up and coming team

It's only fitting that Rick Nash plays another playoff game in Nationwide, the odds are NYR if we make a metro spot.. Gotta win out for a Ranger series..

Boston or Pitt are the most likely, those series could be ugly but one never knows.. Goaltending can win a series..

Anyone know when Foligno, Umberger and Horton are expected to be healthy? I think our chances are much better with some of those three available, especially Foligno.

Carry the flag.

I'd love to play Philly. I still have a lingering strong dislike for Mason.

Happy to be back in the playoffs at the end of the day. Here's to a more competitive showing than last time regardless of opponent.

By the way, does anybody know if 97.1 will be doing any extended local coverage of the clinch after the CBJ radio network goes off?

No concrete word on any.. I'm thinking Nick will play game one of the playoffs ready or not, the others might be longer.

Posted this in the GDT, but **** it.

Seriously who would have thought. This team finish dead last... DEAD LAST. just TWO years ago. And by dead last, they were 9 points from second to last. NINE points. That's 4.5 games. Unbelievable. If you told me that offseason that it would only take two years to get back in I would have called you crazy. Through all the BS we went through with Carter with Mason and most of all with Nash. This one feels good. I love it, couldn't think of a better team to get in. I look forward to being in playoff GDT's with you guys and gals. I wasn't around in 08-09, but I sure as hell will be around this time. Lets do it. March on

I believe Foligno will be ready for the playoffs... The other 2 are less certain, especially Horts.

I think they said Foligno's close, maybe could've played this weekend, but probably will be held out this weekend to be cautious. Umberger sounded iffy for first couple games in playoffs, but maybe be back around a game 3 or 4. I think Horton's probably done for year.

Now over the final 2 games they have a game with a team that has an injured starting goalie (Tampa) and a team that has been out of it for quite a bit of time. (Florida)

Detroit has Carolina and St. Louis.

I'm liking their odds to keep hold of the 7 spot for Pittsburgh. Philly still controls their destiny so 3rd seems like a long shot to me.

WE have the 7 spot. We win the next two, it's ours.

I don't see Philly losing to Carolina, but there's a slight crack in the door with Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. They've owned the Pens this year, but Pittsburgh is due.

I wanna Rags. I hate that franchise for 20 years now and that would be nice to beat them for the 1st ever playoffs win.
I couldn't watch the Detroit series 5 years ago, just replays, so I'm just waiting for my 1st ever Jackets playoffs game... Have been waiting for 13 long years...

It seems like you guys really have it out for the Rangers which is a shame because I've been rooting for you guys since the trade. Oh well, maybe we'll meet in the playoffs and the feeling will become mutual. Congrats guys and enjoy it. If you guys could take out the Pens or Bruins though, that would be great.

I've been looking for another team to root for for several years, but haven't really put that into motion.

With my beloved Canucks out, I'd now like to formally jump on the Columbus bandwagon, if that's alright.

And it's NOT because of the clinch, or the fans, or the logo... it's because of the cannons. ;)

I don't think it's really the Rangers per se, more that tool bag Nash and to a lesser extent Brassard.

Congrats, wish the Leafs played like they wanted it like Columbus did but good luck in the playoffs and hope they beat Boston if they meet them.

I don't have it out for you guys so much as I think a Columbus-Rangers series would be epic.

That and the thought of winning a series over the former franchise player who asked out would help me die a happy man. But that's more of a Nash thing than a Rangers thing.
