Team is still a good team, despite getting blown out a week ago.

I only caught the highlights now, but it looked like Kerfoot had a very good game. Solid defensive effort at the end too to take away a goal, shame the deflection goal came a moment later. Starting to find the net again as well. I don't expect him back next year, but despite appearing in 8 million trade proposals and being the return for Kadri, he's been a good player most of his time here. He played very well in the Habs series, could be a surprise difference maker for us if we go on a run.

Woll looks very solid. The nicknames come easy, hope we have something here. Goalies are voodoo.

As soon as O'Reilly is back, they said he might be back next game. It's time to get serious and stop the line tinkering.

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Jarnkrok - Tavares - Nylander
Kerfoot - O'Reilly - Lafferty
A. Reese - Kampf - Acciari

Rielly - Brodie
McCabe - Holl
Giordano - Schenn

Samsonov - Murray

I'd still prefer to go three lines deep (stacck em up when needed but keep 3 deep lines)

Jarnkrok-Matthews-Nylander
Kerfoot/Laferty-ROR-Marner (staple this line against Stamkos-Point-Kucherov line)
Bunting-Tavares-Acciari
Zar-Kampf-Laferty/Kerfoot
i dont like that. I rather stack the top 2. Gotta put our best players with our best players. We got enough depth now bottom 6 that they can score some chipies. As long as the top 2 lines produce, we will be fine.

I want Jarnkrok with Matthews and Marner. Kerfoot with Tavares and Nylander. Jarnkrok has been lights out on the top line. And honestly if Kerfoot can play like this into the playoffs keep him with Tavares and Nylander. That line has been so dangerous the last few games. Bunting with O’Rielly might be nice and could provide good offense. I think you spread out the offense as much as you can

I feel like Matthews has chemistry with Jarnkrok. Kerfoot is actually scoring again and seems to work with Nylander. Bunts to the 3rd line. If he figures his shit out and plays with ROR could be a good third line. I'd switch Acciari to the 3rd possibly too and Lafferty to 4th.

There's so many options but they definitely need to set the lines soon... while still resting some guys here and there when needs be.

The d pairs... Lilly has been rough a bit lately but Holl shouldn't be playing top 4 minutes. I think schenn has looked good. You can't have him with Gio though. Too slow.

Even out the minutes between the D.

Wouldn't mind seeing... gio and Lilly... Mo and schenn... mccabe and brodie.

I may puke if Liljegren doesn’t play.

Couldn’t believe my ears when they said he could play next game. I find that hard to believe, it’s only been 3 weeks, why would they take that risk.

Maybe it wasn't serious as it sounded. Leafs brass has a tendency to over estimate or like to add some added time just to be on the safe side
When Marner was injured few years it was the same

They want to get him into few games before playoffs.

Lost in tonight game was Simmonds
It's always nice to have a heavy weight around. Even though he didn't play much at all
There's always a jump with the team when a heavy around

I thought this too, until I watched him play this last week. He cannot be in our lineup playing the way he has been. He's had ample opportunity to step up and has done nothing but falter. Still time, and hopefully he gets a chance to right the ship. I never envisioned a lineup with both Holl and Schenn...

He was what he needs to be in both of his recent appearances. No or limited turnovers, not killing offensive plays in the neutral zone and laying a couple of hits. Serviceable. In fact, I'd say better than Lafferty imo. That being said, hard no for Wayne in the game 1 starting lineup.

Meh. 3 games against playoff teams (Bruins, Lightning, Rangers), 4 against non-playoff teams (Senators, Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Canadiens), and 2 against a playoff bubble team (Florida).

That's not crazy tough.

did we forget the leafs' record against non-playoff teams

and then the divisional rivals especially when we are away?

Bunting looked like he was getting an earful from Keefe on the bench. needs to stop making small dumb mistakes.

Jarnkrok and Kerfoot seemed to be taking those 2 upper spots these past few games. If Kerfoot has turned a corner it’s great. Like someone said, it’s like a trade deadline addition. He’s been virtually invisible most of the season.

Schenn is in I think. What a presence in our back end. He’s looked great.

I thought Lafferty was supposed to have a bit more offense and physicality to his game than he’s shown. Hope he dials it up an bit.

Our second PP sucks.

Big guns are looking really good.
