That can't be good?

Moscow said Friday its relations with the West were close to a "point of no return" after several countries imposed sweeping sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

"We have reached the line after which the point of no return begins," Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Russian television.
It has been close to there for a while… Putin directly lying before the invasion is responsible for where it is at. This is them trying to spin and be the victim.

On the whole ruler of Russia stuff, Putin isn't Hitler, he is not the one singular person driving this. He is simply a front for the real pusher behind the scenes.

Hitler wasn’t the singular driving Nazi Germany either…
He was the supreme commander who had underlings. Putin is a tool for the oligarchy and the elite of the Russian army. Much like in the States, it's not the guy seemingly in charge making decisions, but rather big money behind him.

This is not true, the oligarchy has no interest in this war and Putin holds the power over them. He is similar to Hitler.

None of these populist madmen come to power if there isn't an undercurrent that lifts them to that position. Putin is no different than Hitler (or a certain former American president) in that regard. There is a wealthy elite behind both that benefited from their actions.

To repeat myself, one was the shot caller and the ultimate authority without whose blessing nothing could be done. The other is a front for real shot callers.

Can't beleive that piece of shit Ovi had the gall to say the war is tough on both sides.

Not true. Putin is not a mere puppet, he's liken to a mob boss. He took out the oligarchs whom he viewed as a threat, and let the ones loyal to him cozy up.

Both Hitler and Putin have/had political power written right in the constitutions of their respective nations.

I have decided that I will be buying (and attempting to play) Elden Ring. Downloading when I get home from work.

That is all and God speed.

Woke up just a bit ago from playing it for about 10 hrs straight...felt like 3 or 4 at the most. Enjoy it and good luck.

Yeah, this is Putin's war. I doubt the Oligarchs are really cheering on being sanctioned to bring Mother Russia back to its former glory...

Vladimir Putin is reportedly the richest man on the planet. Russian billionaires lost $39 billion on the first day of the war. Yeah, don't tell me he's doing what the oligarchs are telling him to do. He's driving the motherf***ing bus currently running over Ukraine.

Exactly. What financial gain is there in overruning a poor neighbor if it's going to get you cut off from the world's economy? This is a complete I'm going to show the world how big my you know what is. He just better hope as he's taking it out someone doesn't set off a bomb on his nuts.

fixed that for ya

Yes, I'm really perplexed what the financial gain there might be. I don't know, maybe the fact that Ukraine is one of the biggest grain producers in the world? Gas? Oil? Expanding control and simplifying export of their own natural goods?

Focusing on short term losses and completely ignoring what Russia will get going forward is naive to the core. Also, the guys whose wealth is calculable are small fish in the pond.

Russia has 4 times the population as Canada and the same GDP.

How can it afford to be a super power?
Easy. Invest most of the money in military trying to hold off an imaginary threat, rather than bettering the lives of your citizens.

The narratives coming from there are too funny, they read like a even more satirical Dr Strangelove. No country that posseses more than half of world's supply of nukes will be under threat from another country. Hell Kim has one and a carrier pidgeon to deliver it and no one dares to stomp him out.
