Seeing pictures and videos it looks absolutely awful in NS(Cape Breton in particular) and Western NL.

Smart home nerds, what do you have set up for routines and stuff?

I just got Hubs for the living room and bedroom, and I'm thinking perfecting these is probably going to take at least weeks, so any tips?

I don't really use routines or anything. The only timed things I have are arming and disarming the alarm and turning off the AC/furnace if one of the doors is opened longer than 30 seconds.

I'm thinking I'd benefit from automated night time and morning routines.

Basically, I need the cartoon thing that knocks me out with a giant mallet at night, and then tilts my bed and kicks me out of the bedroom with a giant boot in the morning.

At my house, it is the time of the year where black widows move into my basement/crawl space (really just a dugout for water heater and furnace). Already saw a few changing the furnace filter. This is adult life. I’m ready to die.

They are changing the underground pipes everywhere which created a "moving rats" issue right now in Quebec...you're lucky it's only ladybugs. I didn't get them this year and I didn't get the wasps either but a lot of people did apparently.

Years ago it was earwigs. They were everywhere. I'm glad those f***ers are mostly gone.

Back when I was a college student I was living in a pretty shitty apt and once had a sac spider infestation.

One bite won't kill you but they do bite and it's painful. Now unlike most spiders, these are aggressive f***ers that'd go out of their way to bite you if they felt like it. They also like to drop from the walls/ceiling and land on you.

That was pretty stressful, I was on high alert all the time. f***.

I should count my blessings that I don't have black widows I guess. Still laby bugs are annoying when they fly around and come in in numbers.
