Hard to fathom why Kucherov is behind McDavid when their stats are the same and he doesn't have the Hart favourite on his team.
Well, it's not a real leaderboard for Hart for one thing. The Hart winner isn't going to come from the guy that leads in those numbers.

No one is putting Makar ahead of MacKinnon in the Hart race either. I shouldn't say no one, but from the games I've watched, it's obvious who the MVP is....I haven't watched 80+% of their games or anything, but when I ask that question to someone I know that watches 100% of their games.....answer was MacKinnon without any hesitation at all.

Randomly did a deep dive into some of the underlying stats in the last few days, Kaprizov and Werenski are having extremely strong years statistically. Don't watch either of them much but happy they're both getting recognized

Makar is the more consistent player. MacKinnon when he's on can definitely take over games but Makar is the most consistent performer.

It's just one person's opinion based on their own made up system of numbers
Sure, I mean that's what every statistical model is, of course.

But I seriously doubt he's putting a thumb on the scale just to pump up McDavid and give Kucherov the finger lol. And it's a half point difference lolol

Makar above Hughes for Norris?

A lot gets made of Makar’s numbers away from MacKinnon being weaker while Hughes’ numbers with anyone are great, but Makar’s overall numbers are still very strong. Not surprised a stat for total value on the year would have him ahead, especially with Hughes’ missed games.
