I didn't say it was a good deal for either side lol. I almost threw in Nic Hague from Vegas but that still doesn't move the needle for the Ducks and just f***s the Knights' defense. In reality they're not good trade partners. The best the Knights can do is hope some team trying to offload a Buchnevich or Guentzel will take a vet, a young guy, and a first cause there aren't many moves Vegas can do right now without making their roster worse.

This was kind of where my head was at. Even though I was mostly f***ing around, Whitecloud's value to Vegas is even higher now because Martinez has visibly started to decline. They can't really afford to be giving him up right now. The chances that Cormier can replace him in the future aren't solid enough for him to be a tradeable piece unless they get an obvious upgrade on the blueline.
