Considering there are different paths and choices to make, my thought process has been that I can/will play it multiple times. But I also can't say there won't be substantial discounts in the new year as they try to win consumers back.
Oh, I've already paid, unfortunately. (And following your logic, I'm probably going to keep it regardless, because at some point I'll get the XBox Series X.) The only question is whether to open it and start playing this week or wait until next month.

In all honesty, curiosity (and boredom) will likely prevail. :)

I'm enjoying it.

It's flawed, the graphics don't do it justice yet, but it is playable and enjoyable. I'm about 6 or 7 hours in.

I think my biggest disappointment is that I’m running this on a One X on a 4K TV and everything just looked washed out. Nothing pops, no colors stand out. That pisses me off the most.

Have you guys downloaded any of the hotfixes? Have they made a difference that you've noticed?

Trying to decide whether I should start playing when it finally arrives or wait at least until the first major patch in Jan.

Yes.

It crashes less, but it still crashes.

@mas0764 I just played through the weirdest side quest ever. Im glad I saw this one through, but it was so bizarre.

2 crashes today! Right after I remarked to myself that it was actually running ok. Man it also REALLY chugs in tight spaces with a lot of people like the markets.

I’m 20 hours in and I basically just saw the title screen .... but that’s the end of the first act in a three act game. I took my time though.

Sony pulled Cyberpunk from the PS store and is offering refunds to anyone who purchased it through them.

Ironically, today is the first day I haven't had the game crash on me at all.

Lmao what the hell?

Did you clear all of Watson?

Not all but yeah I did a lot of the side missions.... also did a ton of the assaults in progress, etc, I find it fun creeping up on those gangs and wiping them out.

I don’t have it on the last generation but this feels like an overreaction to whining. They are gonna get it fixed and it will be fine. It’s already fine on the PC.... buggy, yes, but so was RDR2 at launch.

Yeah the hacking stuff is fun.

You get some cyberware upgrades in a bit that give you more options to deal with those areas. They're super fun.

Also, side quests get MUCH more diversified as you push the story along so you won't get bored. I just completed one that had me rolling in laughter.

I am not a gamer but have been following the Cyberpunk 2077 drama in the media. So fascinating.

Just started last night on an XBox One. Had to download an update almost as large as the initial file itself before I began – which seems like more than merely a hotfix?

Anyway, not deep in yet, but so far plays pretty darn well, and is every bit as cool as I'd hoped. Honestly, if not for the complaints online, I wouldn't be aware it was considered a disappointment. (No doubt that'll change as I progress further.)

Honestly, I am just not running into the technical issues others have. And it’s not like my system is new - I think it’s a good five years old at this point.

The issues are really a minor annoyance for me rather than a massive complaint.

Then again, I've been fortunate where I haven't experienced a crash while I was in the middle of something important. Most of them have happened while I'm just roaming around.

The one about the Crucifixion BD. Real dark shit.

also, now apparently save games are getting corrupted and can’t be recovered if the save is over 8mb. Can’t make this shit up!

yeah that’s the one I was referring to the other day that was super bizarre and out there. Glad I saw that one through though

I just attempted a bunch of quests that were marked as very high difficulty and got smoked.

The complaints I suspect are overblown by people looking for blood. CPDR was riding high and people love to knock successful businesses off their pedestal.

Watching the trailers for Cyberpunk always had me questioning how they even made a game that big and complex. Just seems like a ridiculous amount of development time and staff needed to pull off something that ambitious and it looks like they needed even more time. I expected there to be bugs but this seems even worse than Skyrim on PS3 which was a mess when it first launched.

People forget that red dead 2 wouldn’t even launch for a lot of people on PC. Water under the bridge now.
