Hill looked great tonight, but more importantly all of Vegas did. What a quiet and effective game by Eichel. He shut down McDrai. Frustrated them all night. That kid's game has really evolved and if he can stay healthy next year and put up 90+ points I think people will really be singing his praise.

The adjustments VGK made to prevent EDM from creating space to play their game was masterful. Very much a BA style team.

Some people are complaining about last night's start time. ESPN showed their regularly scheduled Sunday Night Baseball at 7 EST. I checked the numbers, and SNB averages twice the viewership of an NHL playoff game. It sucks, but I can't fault the network.

Everyone had the same cap though. Can’t use the cap as an excuse.

I didn't say it was an excuse, rather reality. Teams look long term when signing players and the pandemic BS put a wrench into that for all teams, some more than others.

Hill and Marchessault eliminate the Oilers. Canada out.

Eichel was very very good. Edmonton didn't adjust, or couldn't and became a bit frustrated.

It's early, and the thought of a Vegas-Seattle WCF makes me queasy, but a final four of those two plus Florida and Carolina would be *hilarious*.

This is now one game from happening. And the alternative of the all Southern FLA/CAR/DAL/VGK might be even funnier.

Not so great for ratings, of course, but ah, well...

Grubauer was very good tonight but SEA not quite enough to be a very deep DAL. Sick how good they were this year. And to think Shane Wright may well show up and provide them another solid top line C going forward.

Wyatt Johnston's goal was so sick. The skill level in the league now is so unbelievable. To just improvise that in game 7 ... wow.
