Bennett fined, but not for what he did to Knies. Has a player ever had two disciplinary hearings for the same game?

I watched this game, and what still puzzles me about this scene is that you see 4 Oilers, 3 Knights, and zero linesman. WTF. Punching a defenseless player should carry an automatic suspension.

Schenn takes a penalty and takes out his goalie all in 0.5 seconds.

Leafs don't feel like #5

Nope. One of those four teams was the Leafs but they aren't winning four straight against a hungry Florida team that's having a lot of fun. Leafs nation not happy right now.

LMFAO. I hope this is the public firestorm that convinces AM to get the hell out of Toronto.
Have you watched the games? What is it about AM besides being born in AZ that wants you to back up the brinks truck for him? He's invisible in this series. And that's the norm for his career.

Judging from what I read, many TML fans want Matthews traded asap.

My thoughts exactly. I want nothing to do with him and I'm willing to wager BA doesn't either.
Don't know if you watch Dangle, but Adam Wylde mentioned on Friday's podcast that big news was dropping in a few weeks about management. He was eluding to Shanahan but it sounded a lot worse than just a firing. Tomorrow's SDPN podcast will be a good one.

Did you read his comment? His only point was that AM may not want to continue to play in TO, not that he would necessarily want him to play for the yotes.

You guys are crazy. I'll take Matthews without question. He would be the best player the team has ever dreamed of his first time on the ice. Plenty of time to figure out the playoffs especially with a better coach that surrounds him with a better team. Just because you pay a shit ton to a lot of guys he plays with doesn't mean it's the right mix. Ever hear of Barry Bonds? Go look up his playoff performances with the Pirates and then later with the Giants. It wasn't just steroids either as he was the best hitter on those Pirate teams too. He was horrible early in his career and then they wouldn't even pitch to him later. Athletes can get better in crunch time with experience. Going from that situation to here where he'd be loved wouldn't hurt either.

I read it, if AM was not from AZ nearly every poster here would be talking about what a playoff bust he is. But because he's the local kid it turns to he should leave Toronto. And he does want him in AZ, we both know that.

I would take Matthews at hometown discount rate, no way I pay him to be highest paid player in League. Watch an Oilers game, then a Leafs game, it's very clear who you should throw money at and who you should be very careful chasing.

McDavid won't be available. Big difference. Sure if both are on the market, everyone picks McDavid. That's not a debate. If the Coyotes have a chance to add one of the best players in the league, they should do it. That opportunity rarely comes around and pretty much never for the Coyotes. "Highest paid" changes depending on who's contract is up and when. Matthews will get the title when his contract is up and then he'll get bumped in a year or two. I wouldn't get caught up in the numbers. The fact is this team needs Matthews for more than just the 50+ goals he'll score. They need some star power more than any team in the league to try and finally become relevant in this state (if they're still here when he becomes a FA).
