I agree.Marner is no slouch. Don't shift the blame, neither is getting it done.
Florida up 3-0 this series with the Leafs. Only four teams have come back from that deficit in playoff history.
Schenn takes a penalty and takes out his goalie all in 0.5 seconds.
Leafs don't feel like #5
Awesome effort and finish for the game winner.

Have you watched the games? What is it about AM besides being born in AZ that wants you to back up the brinks truck for him? He's invisible in this series. And that's the norm for his career.45 minutes after the game, the Leafs post-game thread already has 586 replies.
LMFAO. I hope this is the public firestorm that convinces AM to get the hell out of Toronto.
Judging from what I read, many TML fans want Matthews traded asap.45 minutes after the game, the Leafs post-game thread already has 586 replies.

My thoughts exactly. I want nothing to do with him and I'm willing to wager BA doesn't either.Have you watched the games? What is it about AM besides being born in AZ that wants you to back up the brinks truck for him? He's invisible in this series. And that's the norm for his career.
And the 8th seed no less.Hopefully the Leafs get swept. The only thing better than winning a round after 20 years or whatever would be to get blown out by a sunbelt team.

I read it, if AM was not from AZ nearly every poster here would be talking about what a playoff bust he is. But because he's the local kid it turns to he should leave Toronto. And he does want him in AZ, we both know that.Did you read his comment? His only point was that AM may not want to continue to play in TO, not that he would necessarily want him to play for the yotes.
I would take Matthews at hometown discount rate, no way I pay him to be highest paid player in League. Watch an Oilers game, then a Leafs game, it's very clear who you should throw money at and who you should be very careful chasing. You guys are crazy. I'll take Matthews without question. He would be the best player the team has ever dreamed of his first time on the ice. Plenty of time to figure out the playoffs especially with a better coach that surrounds him with a better team. Just because you pay a shit ton to a lot of guys he plays with doesn't mean it's the right mix. Ever hear of Barry Bonds? Go look up his playoff performances with the Pirates and then later with the Giants. It wasn't just steroids either as he was the best hitter on those Pirate teams too. He was horrible early in his career and then they wouldn't even pitch to him later. Athletes can get better in crunch time with experience. Going from that situation to here where he'd be loved wouldn't hurt either.
