I wonder if they try to address the Tuch replacement via free agency. Laine, Jenner, maybe Zuccarello if he doesn't re-sign with the Wild. Something short term for a middle six forward and count on them plus the kids to fill that hole.
Better not be for anything more than the 20th pick.
Same thing with the guys on the Barn Burner Podcast.Bucci and Frank pissing me off talking about trading 4 for Helly... Bucci even talking about adding a 1st next year for it.
Smoking crack man.
Trocheck is getting paid a fair contract and brings a lot of what this team needs down the middle - two-way play, veteran leadership, can put up 60 ish points a season, can PK. He fills a hole. The cost is the real concern.Hahaha, imagine losing Tuch and turning around and giving assets for Trocheck. Unbelievable.

If we’re talking likely moves I think we’re due for a Krebs contract we don’t like![]()
PK will definitely need a boost with Tuch and Greenway out of the picture. Losing Byram clearly hurts too.Trocheck is getting paid a fair contract and brings a lot of what this team needs down the middle - two-way play, veteran leadership, can put up 60 ish points a season, can PK. For Trocheck? LOLHow do people feel about McLoud + 26 1st again? My mind blocked out the trauma from that day :p
I'm not a huge Trochek guy.....but he'd be a Norris replacement, not a McLeod replacement. How do people feel about McLoud + 26 1st again? My mind blocked out the trauma from that day :p
I dont mind adding a solid 2nd line C who can play bottom-6 minutes as he ages to take the heavy defensive load until Helenius/Ostlund/4OA are ready to play big minutes. His contract isn't much of an issue, either, unless he falls off cliff.I don’t want to hear any of the faceoff freaks complaining, that’s for sure.
I’ll complain enough for all of us though so don’t worry.

Yes. Some jackass proposed that in this thread a few weeks ago. Just dont ask who!For Trocheck? LOL
Reminds me a bit of Rust last year. Many thought his game was falling off a cliff, and he had another really good year. There was a reason Pens fans wanted the moon for him. I think Trocheck will be a good middle-6C for the foreseeable future.I think the cliff fall already started.
Trading for Trocheck as a stopgap better be attached to bringing one of Malhotra or Bjorck in with pick 4. Because that’s a plan. And I don’t have to agree with plans to respect them. And we need Cs. You want to compete now…fill in some of what Tuch did for you…and draft and develop a high end C prospect while he’s doing it. Fine. I’m in.Reminds me a bit of Rust last year. I believe he's signed for two more years after this. It shouldn't be too hard to get out of his contract if he falls off a cliff in the next two years. He's turning 33 this year. I think there's still two good seasons of play left in him.
