Sabres need to hold onto that #4 pick for dear life. Id prefer to go Bjorck or in the off chance Stenberg falls. Reid is intriguing, but our forward pipeline is pretty rough
No way they pay that much to move up 1 spot. Take Bjorck and be thrilledSo..what if Vancouver takes a D (Reid) ..
Wonder if we could leverage 4 with NYR to get something
4 for 5 + ?
Cuylle possible?

I think the Rangers are prime trading partners with Buffalo as they need to retool and we could use players they have. But I really want Cuylle![]()
Any interest in RFA Nikishin?
We're going to flip his rights to Chicago for another 2ndHe’s a UFA. My guess is Washington was at the contract limit?
I think it was lip service to other GMs. He was almost casual about the idea of trading the pick “we will be listening for now” “we want to see how you value the pick, we value it highly” “we will make a decision later on” “if we need to select someone, we will get a great player at 4”Jarmo’s press conference made me feel like his preference might lean toward trading the #4 pick and that has me on pins & needles waiting to see what happens. I am ok with the idea of trading the pick if a true difference making top line type of player is coming back in return.
I don’t really know much about any of the top prospects this year but I definitely like the idea of drafting a center that has a legit chance of becoming a true #1C. I’d love to add that type of prospect to our pool. It’s a chance that doesn’t come often. But the strength at the top of this draft seems to be more in wingers and defenseman. Malholtra and Bjorck are intriguing but I don’t know if they are more 1C or 2C types. Seems to be lots of mixed opinions among scouts and analysts.
I’m not as big on the idea of drafting a defenseman just because of who we already have on the team and in the system. But I don’t know enough about any of the D prospects to have an opinion on any of them.
I’d love to see them trade the pick for Robert Thomas. If STL wants to reset I doubt they will ever get offered a higher pick than #4 for Thomas.
I don’t know how I’d feel about trading #4 for Knies.
No chance I’d trade #4 for Hellebuyck unless
